School Tour

Once Hendrix woke up a third time, it was morning, and he got out of bed and changed his clothes into a uniform in the closet that fit his diminutive form. Afterward, he prepared and did the other things required to look presentable. Later he bit his thumb, causing it to bleed, and he let it bleed on the floor until it closed.

Once he did that, he left the room and wandered through the hallways aimlessly, not knowing the way around. He eventually reached the floor platform and saw it lower for the many students waiting for it.

"Hello, Hendrix." Valentina greeted while turning around and looking at him.

"Hi, Valentina." Hendrix responded civilly, knowing even if he didn't want to talk to her, he didn't want to antagonize her either.

"How are you?" Valentina asked as she walked to Hendrix.

"I'm doing okay, and you?" Hendrix civilly replied while looking up at her.

"I'm great, thank you for asking. So what are you planning to do today." Valentina asked, wanting to spend time with Hendrix.

"Being alone. Also, I'm reclusive, to be honest, so can you please talk to someone else? I don't like talking much." Hendrix asked politely, as he didn't want to converse with any other person unless he had no choice or if it was required.

"Oh, okay, Hendrix, I'll do so." Valentina stated, heavily sighing and bitterly smiling before walking away and talking to someone else.

Hendrix walked and rested against a wall trying to preserve his little stamina. Additionally, he became lost in his thoughts, occasionally shivering a bit due to one of his bad memories resurfacing and scaring him.

After about ten minutes, about three new thousand students arrived, patiently waiting to be brought up. With so many people unfamiliar with one another in the same place, there were bound to be disagreements or arguments about trivial things.

"Hey, little punk, why are you lying against the wall? Did you stay up all night and wet the bed? Haha!" A tall, muscular guy with a blue Mohawk and blue eyes laughed and mocked Hendrix as he approached him.

"Hmm? I did stay up all night, but only because I painted a picture with my blood on my bed." Hendrix stated while showing the guy his bite wound from a distance. Believing he was a target due to his frail look, he took extreme measures. He wanted to seem twisted in the head so the other students wouldn't bully or bother him.

"I don't believe you. If you really can do it, show me." The muscular guy looked down at Hendrix as if he wasn't convinced and wanted to humiliate him.

Hendrix nodded before biting his thumb and painting his blood on the floor. The painting would be of a cross. After he finished, he looked at the bully and everyone else while smiling.

"Your disgusting, punk. Being in your presence irks me." The muscular guy expressed before leaving with a disgusted look.

Most of the other students who saw him also moved away from him. And the other bullies, who used to see Hendrix as a possible weak target, also chose to find someone else to bully. Now viewing him as filth, they shouldn't touch or interact with him in any form.

'I must take extreme measures to ensure I'm safe and undisturbed. I don't know everyone else's talents, and revealing my own is a bad idea." Hendrix thought while sighing, not caring what other people thought of him.

After another ten minutes, the floor platform began to lower, and everyone underneath it ran out of the way. Once it reached a halt, a group of other students wearing uniforms and a teacher who wore high heels and a suit, pants, and tie. She had gauntlets on her hands and short blonde hair, and a medium build.

"Hello, new students, welcome to Glyphic High. I'm Karli, and you will be given a tour and orientation of the school by your upper-level students. Now please come onto the platform in groups of five hundred calmly." Karli said as she beckoned the new students to the floor platform.

The new students went up in groups of five hundred. And all have been brought up after fifteen minutes passed.

"Check your booklets for the upper-level students who'll guide you through the orientation. They will have name tags so you can find them." Karli stated as she winked and smiled.

Hendrix looked through his booklet and tried to find the senior he was supposed to guide him. Once spotted, he walked in their direction.

"Hello, Kai. My booklet said you're guiding me." Hendrix greeted as he looked at Kai.

Kai turned around and gazed down at Hendrix before smiling. He had a large brown afro and gray eyes, and a grey uniform and looked like an athlete from the Olympics.

"Hello, since you already know my name, can I know yours?" Kai asked politely as other new students arrived around him.

"I'm Hendrix." Hendrix civilly replied before he waited and stopped talking.

Once all the other students assigned to Kai arrived, he guided them out of the area and to their first destination, the library.

"This is the school library. You can read any books here, but be wary of some sections. As some knowledge can traumatize you or be detrimental to know at the wrong time." Kai warned in a solemn tone as he showed the library's contents briefly.

"What can we read here?" One of the male students asked curiously.

"Good question. You can read about basic fighting techniques, unwritten rules of the crown world, broken techniques, and knowledge about how to survive in the wilderness, among other things." Kai patiently explained as he looked around at the other students.

"What are broken techniques?" A female student asked while staring off in a random direction.

"Broken techniques are weakened and altered versions of powerful ones. These can be a foundation for anyone to make a custom variant of the original technique. Though they all have hideous drawbacks." Kai enunciated before sighing.

"What kind of drawbacks?" Hendrix asked, wanting to know, pondering if he could use these against the ones who chose the broken techniques.

"Well, it depends on the technique. Some cause extreme physical pain, mental pain, and soul pain. Some will cause the practitioner to become bloodthirsty or lose sanity. And those are only a few examples." Kai told before looking around again.

Hendrix nodded before going quiet as he had no more questions.

"Let's head to the gym." Kai stated before leading the group to the gym.

Once arriving at the gym, Kai showed the students the workout equipment, which was primarily ordinary, along with a weak gravity room that only reached 1.5 times earth's gravity. There were also weapon racks and four fighting arenas.

After this, Kai showed the students the cafeteria, classrooms, and other places but the dorms.

"I hope everyone enjoyed the orientation and tour of the school. Now please head to the auditorium. There's an assembly for all students." Kai stated, smiling before he went to the Auditorium himself.

Hendrix nodded as he and the other students arrived in the auditorium.
