Allura vs Valentina

Natasha, Valentina, and Allura sat at the table as they ate their lunch. And they were lost in their thoughts.

"I wonder if we will face one another in the next round of the competition." Natasha stated, smiling and breaking the silence as she held her fork and put some salad on it.

"It would indeed be interesting, though I kinda wish Hendrix didn't surrender. However, it's not like I want to fight him." Allura replied in self-denial while pouting a little as she ate a spoonful of chicken noodle soup.

"Well, we can ask him why he surrendered, but if he's hiding something as we suspect, I doubt he will tell us." Valentina stated while not liking asking about something that wasn't their business.

"Well, I'll ask him later, though I'm curious. What do you think the crown world is like?" Natasha asked while looking at the ceiling.

"Hmm, I'll tell you a bit. It's a place where we can level up and get stronger while also the place we'll spend most of our lives." Allura explained while smiling.

"How did you gain this information, Allura?" Valentina asked while she furrowed her brow.

"Well, I'm part of the Pyramada family. I was given knowledge about it before mostly due to that." Allura admitted as she walked continued to eat.

"May I know why you are telling is this information?" Natasha asked as she raised her brow.

"Because we are friends, I don't want you guys to die there. I'm also willing to share other information that Is beneficial to your survival." Allura stated as she smiled at Natasha and Valentina.

"May we know why this knowledge isn't given to everyone if it's key to our survival?" Valentina asked as she felt this was shady.

"If you look in the library, you can find it, but the books with that information are scattered inside. I want to share the information so you don't have to spend days searching." Allura charitably replied as she finished her food. And lay her head on her hand as she looked at them.

"Alright, is the crown world full of monsters, and are there sentient species from folklore and mythology?" Natasha asked while her eyes seemed to dilate.

"No, the crown world doesn't have any monsters. It's filled with horrifying creatures called Varmints. They have a seemingly infinite power source to use for their abilities. There are also no sentients in the crown world other than humanity." Allura replied.

"Alright, maybe we should team up in the Crown World. It'll be better and help with our chances of survival." Valentina suggested as she massaged her temples.

"We can but know I plan to protect Hendrix in the Crown World, just like I do here. Are you guys willing to do the same?" Allura questioned.

"Yes, I am willing. We can protect Hendrix, don't worry, Allura." Natasha replied as she looked into Allura's eyes with a severe gaze.

"Im Alright with doing so as well, though we should ask for permission. What if Hendrix doesn't want help?" Valentina asked as she smiled softly.

"Well, it doesn't matter if he wants it or not. He needs it. Don't you remember Theodore almost killing him in two hits?" Allura asked with her brow raised.

"I do. I guess we can protect him no matter what, then. I don't want to see him die." Valentina replied while sighing, not wanting to protect Hendrix forcefully.

"Alright then, let's head back to class. We have to see who we'll be fighting." Natasha suggested as she got up, grabbed her tray, and put it away.

"Okay, I hope some of us can face each other." Valentina replied, excited as she followed Natasha's example.

"I do as well. It will be fun." Allura exclaimed as she also followed Natasha's example.

Once the trio finished putting away everything, they returned to the gym to finish the competition. They also grabbed their training weapons again.

"Welcome back, everyone. I hope you ate your fill because the competition is starting again." Mr. Adam announced as he smiled and had both hands behind his back before picking two names out of his pocket.

All the students had severe expressions as they waited for him to call out the next ones to fight.

"The two lucky students are Valentina and Allura. Please head to the arena." Mr. Adam proclaimed as his smile widened.

Valentina and Allura nodded as they went to the arena and stood opposite one another. Afterward, they waited for Mr. Adam to give them the go-ahead.

"You may begin." Mr. Adam instructed while chuckling.

Allura ran at Valentina and used her technique a little as her rapier began to glow a faint orange. She then stabbed Valentina's left hand from the left and at a ninety-degree angle, trying to disarm her.

Meanwhile, Valentina narrowed her eyes, seeing the technique as she used her luck-changing ability, raising her luck by one. Afterward, she tilted her long sword blade and blocked the stab.

Allura smiled as she attacked Valentina's hand from different angles and in quick succession. Some of the attacks were feints, and some were real.

Valentina smiled as she spun around one hundred and eighty degrees while holding her shield, as it blocked Allura's onslaught before she turned and ran at Allura, trying to stun her with her shield by ramming her with it.

"Oh, I see what you want, but sadly I need to win this, Valentina." Allura stated as she jumped up and climbed Valentina's shield before kicking at it hard and using the force of her kick to jump again and over Valentina and landing on her feet behind her.

As this happened, Valentina's shield flew out of her hand and landed on the ground as she stumbled forward a bit. She then turned around and got into a defensive stance.

"Let's finish this, Valentina." Allura proclaimed as she ran at her and began to spin her rapier unpredictably.

Valentina solemnly gazed at Allura, and once she was before her, she swung her long sword outwards, horizontally, and counterclockwise. As she hoped, she could keep a reasonable distance from Allura.

Allura jumped over and stabbed Valentina's hand, disarming her. However, Valentina pierced her leg just before.

"I lost, though that was a good fight Allura." Valentina replied, smiling, not bothered by her defeat.

"Likewise, Valentina, now let's both get our wounds treated. However, they aren't that bad." Allura responded as she walked to the stretchers, laid down on one, and two nurses carried her out.

Valentina nodded as she followed Allura's example and did the same.

'Allura is going to be hard to win against.' Natasha thought as she saw her friends leaving the gym.
