Chapter 9: Let’s rock [3] (Bonus Chapter)

Hello there, I hope you're having a wonderful day!

Because I sure am.

I want to thank you all once again for your incredible support. I know I have already said this and it might sound boring to some of you but it really makes me happy and motivates me to do better and keep writing.

I saw that today we beat our first 100 power stones' mark so, receive:

A bonus chapter.

(Don't worry, there will be a chapter tomorrow as usual, though it might come a little late as I have something to do tomorrow, but I'll do my best to post for you guys.)

Team Omega wasn't the only who had quickly and efficiently finished their assigned tasks.

Team Alpha who was responsible for Lekym Technologies; Team Beta who was responsible for Nhavi's Real Estates; Team Gamma responsible for H.Y Corporation and Team Epsilon responsible for L.H Industries, all of them finished their tasks within 5 minutes before or after Team Omega finished theirs.

The first phase of Hai's plan is complete, now comes the hard part.

(Nexus Net – Online Host #557)

*THUD*

A robot or more specifically, a program that had the appearance of a robot was knocked down.

Standing above this robot was a feminine figure.

She is dressed in tight combat suit with purple details accentuating her slight curvy figure, a purple visor and her pink hair tied into a bun.

She is Viral Widow, one of the most feared divers among China Federation's underworld.

Viral Widow looked ahead to where an Online Host is located and saw a building that is literally a giant black box but with neon green lines running through the whole thing.

The Nexus Net is how the virtual reality of nowadays is called.

What is this virtual space used for?

If you could kill the one person you hate the most and not be punished for it, would you do it?

In Nexus Net or Nexus for short, people could do basically anything they wanted as long as it was nothing too extreme.

This place is where several secret, confidential, immoral, or criminal things happened.

Of course, the majority of the users were just normal civilians and as such, the mentioned things are reserved only for those in power or working in the underworld.

The Nexus is a virtual reality that covers the whole world so, the creators of this place made it be the size of Earth but with some modifications.

The Nexus is like Earth being or having a single massive city.

Something so massive that covers the whole entirety of all places Earth has.

This also means that there are spaces that have things that shouldn't exist due to physical limitations.

One such example of it is the Online Hosts.

They are points where a humungous amount of information about the Nexus' program passes through, hence they are extremely and heavily guarded and anyone unauthorized coming near them will be "killed" on the spot and have their every move monitored in the real world.

This is another reason as to why everyone behaves themselves while in Nexus. The company who created it has a colossal power that they can even monitor higher-ups of the mega corporations, so what would normal people be able to do against such a behemoth?

And now, Hong Li-Wei is trespassing this exactly same forbidden area.

The only reason why she is doing her job at ease is because only normal people would be tracked down so easily and this Online Host in specific is a rather small one, so the surveillance is less heavy when it comes to this one.

After she knocked the little robot down, she crouched down and put her index finger in the robot's visor.

Suddenly, a command prompt appeared before the robot visor and she started to tap her fingers in her digital keyboard at an inhuman speed.

[ Acess Denied ]

She didn't bother with the message glowing in red that appeared as soon as she opened the prompt and digited a command.

The panel suddenly went off and another one appeared, this one has a dark background screen and red details.

She quickly started tapping her fingers in the digital keyboard.

Another screen, this one smaller than the previous, popped up.

Hong Li-Wei kept tapping the keyboard and after 2 minutes, she was finally done.

The robot that was lying on the ground suddenly trembled a bit.

Then, the robot that was previously white in color changed to a light pink one and got up.

When the robot finally got up, one would be able to see the drastic differences compared to before. The robot wasn't only light pink in color, now it also had a pair of digital bunny ears made of pink codes that glitched in and out of existence.

Hong Li-Wei grinned and then looked at the giant black box before her.

"Go forth my trojan horse." The robot immediately flew at blinding speed and entered the black box by simply passing through it.

Hong Li-Wei started to glitch and then she vanished from where she was.

Right when she vanished, something happened.

*BOOM*

A white spear penetrated where Hong Li-Wei previously was.

Then, a figure suddenly materialized besides the spear.

The figure was tall, it had 6,5 meters in height, was completely white in color and had the appearance of a knight's armor.

The figure picked its spear from the ground and the small space in the helmet where the eyes were supposed to be, started glowing in a golden light.

The figure glitched out of existence in the next moment.

Meanwhile, Hong Li-Wei was watching this happen through her visor while commanding her little robot inside the Online Host.

"Damn. It wasn't even 3 minutes but a ROYAL was already sent. Hai, you better give me a raise because I can count in the fingers of one hand how many people would still do a job in the Nexus if a ROYAL was involved." She muttered to herself and again glitched out of existence, just for three spears penetrated where she was.

This time, there were three ROYALs who appeared beside the spears.

They didn't say anything, just took their spears and glitched out of existence to keep chasing Viral Widow.

Inside the big black box with green lights, the robot that Viral Widow had reprogramed was quickly speeding towards a determined place.

The interior of an Online Host isn't as the general population imagines, it's simply a green place with only white numbers, letters and symbols going from one side to another.

It's because of this that no one can enter an Online Host, there is simply no place to enter. The whole thing's interior is made of pure codes.

The robot wasn't any different. After it entered, the robot was pixeled and turned into an agglomeration of codes making the silhouette of a pink robot with a pair of bunny ears.

The robot kept sprinting towards the place where Hong Li-Wei programmed it to go.

After a few minutes passed, the robot finally reached where it was programmed to go. In front of it was what could be described as a river of codes.

There were simply too many of them that they seemed more like a liquid or a wall colored in white.

The robot's bunny ears suddenly transformed itself into something resembling a tentacle made of numbers and letters and stretched towards a part of the river of codes.

The tentacles touched there and suddenly, the river stopped and started to move in a crazy and disorganized manner.

It seemed like watching a process in fast-forward option.

A few seconds later, this process stopped and now what seemed to be yellow folders appeared.

The robot then used its bunny ears/ tentacles to touch the folders.

They all opened and showed a long list of archives.

It included contracts, deals, pictures, personal information, bank accounts, e-mail's historic, calls and among other things.

Viral Widow saw all of this through her visor and started to grin.

The robot then started to touch the archives one by one.

Whenever the tentacles touched an archive, the contents were rewritten.

It put another name in place of the old ones and corrected any loophole that existed.

What Hong Li-Wei is doing right now is to "legally" pass all properties, assets and belongings from Azlam Pharmaceutics, Lekym Technologies, Nhavi's Real Estates, H.Y Corporation and L.H Industries to Hai's name.

Now, this is something that could be considered as a big robbery and if leaked out would be noticed in the news for the whole China Federation, but that was it, just a robbery since the companies that are being robbed are somewhat big but not really big ones.

However, this "simple" robbery completely changes to something way greater when Hai comes into play.

During the years that Hai was doing the plot, he always invested in his future in his free time.

This means that he has several connections in the underworld, China Federation and other countries.

Now, why would someone as "big" as Hai need to rob some companies?

Hai needs a brighter light.

There is just so much you can do in darkness without exposing your hands.

This is because due to the plot, Hai had to limit himself to not be caught by the Jin's, the protagonist, the heroines and the support and side-characters.

Although Hai is big, he was just limiting himself, this is why unlike the real bigshots from the underworld, Hai only has small companies and business under him but still doesn't have a single big or medium company in the "light side", that is, a business that normal people can know of.

And this is why Hai is doing this big operation.

Hai's plan to stop the world from reset or screwing him ever again involves him having power. Real, undeniable and unquestionable power.

Hai is a big fish.

However, being a big fish wouldn't cut in a sea of sharks.

Hai needs to be at least a megalodon equipped with an anti-matter cannon and a forcefield before he can have the means of executing his plans.

And this is why he is taking these companies.

They might not seem like something substantial or of great importance in the great scheme of things.

However,

What would happen if Hai, someone who has several small companies under him takes charge of those big companies?

Hai is known in the drugs, weaponry and real estate fields.

He has several small companies in these sectors.

Now, what would happen if someone who has a vast number of companies under them were to get a bigger one?

The answer is: It would erase the competition.

Who in their right mind will try to compete against a business network that ranges from the big companies in the center of the city to a small convenience store in the countryside?

It is simply insane to even think about it.

Hence, the competition would be cut down to the ones who have a real backing and can face such competition.

And when those competitors come to light…

Hai is going to deal with them.

"Aaaaaaaannnnddd…. Done!" Hong Li-Wei exclaimed while dodging dozens of spears by making the areas where they would hit glitch out of existence.

Then, she completely vanished and appeared in the top of a building.

She looked at the big black box with neon green lights and grinned maniacally.

"This is for what you f*ckers did to my team." She muttered and pressed a red button on her digital keyboard.

Back in the Online Host, the pink robot started to tremble violently.

Then, where the robot's visor was supposed to be appeared a red angry face made of pixels.

The robot opened its pixeled mouth and screamed unrecognizable sounds, something like a war cry.

Then, the robot covered itself with its bunny ears and turned into a glowing pink cocoon.

The cocoon started to emit waves that disrupted the flow of the codes around it.

The codes that were going here and there at speed invisible to normal people suddenly stopped.

Everything stood still.

Then, as if it was a black hole, the cocoon sucked in all the surrounding codes at an astonishing speed.

The space inside the Online Host started to have ripples as if it was a liquid and then some small cracks started to appear in it.

Suddenly, dozens of ROYALS glitched in existence there.

They all looked at the pink cocoon that was sucking everything in and threw their spears at it.

The spears zoomed in and in less than a second hit the cocoon.

However, when they touched the cocoon, they pixeled, turned into codes and were sucked in.

The ROYALS were unfazed by this and immediately flew towards the cocoon.

When they arrived close it, they all extended their hand while forming a circular formation around it.

A golden energy came out from their hands and made a barrier around the cocoon.

The suction force was sealed inside that barrier and the codes outside stopped being sucked in and started to go back towards their places.

Hong Li-Wei saw this but her grin just widened.

She pressed the red button again and vanished from Nexus.

The pink cocoon started to beep and the light started to intensify.

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*DING*

"Arrivederci, sons of a b*tch."

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM*

The cocoon exploded and cracked a great deal of the Online Host's interior.
