Portal

Armin was the last to walk into the portal and when he was able to notice his surroundings he noticed that he was in a field of what seems to be tall grass.

He then heard Galen shouting.

"Everyone form up we have contact! They look to be twin tail wolfs."

Everyone rushed into position when they heard his words and Armin was in the back with only a cheap bone knife he got before entering the portal.

While they fought Armin was thinking.

'Twin tail wolfs? If I remember correctly there an E rank monster but they are normally only three to four wolfs in a normal pack?! From what I can see so far there at least twelve wolfs?!'

While he was thinking Galen suddenly shouted.

"Come at me mutts!!!"

All of a sudden his shield glowed red and some type of pulse wave was released and all the twin tail wolfs eyes turned red and they started to focus on him but lucky Galen was strong enough to handle the wolfs but he wouldn't be able to do this forever, then he said.

"Hannah it would be a good time to use an AOE spell!" (Area of effect)

"No need to tell me!"

All of a sudden the surrounding area began to get colder as she started to chant her spell.

"Oh, Goddess of the ice please be so kind and bless us some of your ice. Send down your Icy wrath towards are enemies to bathe in your frozen hatred - ICY STORM"

Suddenly there where numerous icicles and they rushed over to the pack of twin-tailed wolfs that were trying to attack Galen.

Since the wolfs where only focus on Galen's aggro skill they didn't care about the surroundings until it was too late when six of the wolfs got impaled by icicles freezings parts of there body allowing both Austin and Darren to easily finished them off.

Galen then told Austin to take three of the remaining wolfs while he Took the others.

Darren backed up Austin and helped take out his wolfs one by one and Hannah was casting ice spells to Galen's wolfs.

When anyone got injured Rebecca would cast a healing spell on them.

"In the Divine name of the Goddess who breathes life into us, I plead to help those heal their wounds - GREATER HEAL."

Whenever Rebecca would cast a healing spell on someone there body would glow with a divine aura and their wounds would close at a speed visible to the naked eye but it would not be instant.

When they finally finished off the wolfs Galen said.

"All right good work everyone you did well."

But the moment he finished Hannah then said.

"Well almost everyone." As she gave a sour look towards Armin. And unsurprisingly no one spoke in his defense and then Darren said.

"Hey, errand boy hurry up and start getting the monster cores out of there body! You do know how to do that right?"

This made Armin upset as he thought.

'Of course, I know how to get the monster cores what use would I be if I didn't...'

"I'll start on it immediately just give me a moment please it should only take a minute."

When Armin started to cut open there body's to find the core that normal near there hearts he noticed something around there necks.

'Are... are those collar's?'

"Hey, guys do thes-" suddenly Hannah spoke up saying.

"Just shut up and hurry up I got things I got to do after this and I don't need your useless ass comment on anything. Finish getting the cores so we can go."

Armin didn't say anything but turned out while gripping his knife very hard.

'WHY ARE YOU SUCH A BITCH! WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU!'

Armin knew he couldn't do anything he was weak. All it would take was a single ice spell and it would probably disable if not kill him then he wouldn't be able to make money.

'I... Don't worry Jasmin I'll earn enough money to get the medicine you need to get better...' (For those who might ask, I'll explain who Jasmin is in the future don't worry. But I'll say this it's not his mom and he doesn't have a sister so you'll just have to guess till then.)

While he was thinking to himself Darren asked Galen.

"What exactly is monster cores for anyway?"

Galen told him all he knew about them.

"Well, monster cores are kinda like the mana pool of monsters the stronger the monster the larger and denser the core is. As for the uses, there are people who want to research them because we don't have any kind of core inside of us so why do monsters have them? Why do they want to come to earth? Why do they kill us? Even though it's been ten years since the first portal opened we don't have many answers but what we do know about monster cores is that they make great items. Like my shield here!"

Galen shows his shield so everyone can see it more clearly.

"Now it's not pure Monster core but it's about ten percent and It was made with a B rank core. It might not be much but a normal shield would have been scrapped if I used one with those wolfs back there. But for other uses, I'm not really sure because I don't really deal with them I just sell mine for repairs and other needs."

When he finished with his explanation he noticed Armin was walking up to them with blood all over his clothes. When Hannah noticed she took the chance to insult him more.

"Why does it look like you did a terrible job of extracting the cores? Are you sure you didn't damage them?! You better not be hiding some."

While she was insulting him no one noticed that a group of monsters known as Orcs but not just any Orcs, blood Orcs where approaching. When everyone noticed the group of 25 blood Orcs they went pale and Armin was thinking.

'BLOOD ORCS?!? Why are blood Orcs in a C rank dungeon?! There A rank monsters!!! I'm... I'm going to die?!?!'

Before anyone could do anything a slightly larger Blood orc with strange eyes walked out and said.

"Hummys u run u die. U surrendur u live to make Choice hummys!" (Now before you say anything it's a damn orc Idk how they speak but that's how mine do. FYI hummys = humans)

Armin was scared but also confused since the first monster came to earth there has never been any type of monster that ever spoke EVER.

'How can a Blood orc speak?! How does it know are language?!'

Everyone knew the odds were against them and from what they understood about Blood Orcs they

Would rather torment someone then outright kill them even if it meant let's some go to make a single person feel ultimate despair...

Galen then spoke up and said.

"If... if we follow you what will you do to us?"

The orc then said.

"He wadda talk to da hummys he says we can do wut we want before we go."

Armin was thinking.

'Who is HE there talking about?!?'

Then Galen said.

"Fine we'll follow..." this made everyone tense and stiff as they slowly started walking behind them when Darren was thinking if he should try and attack the strange eyed orc the Orcs spoke.

"Don't try nun funny hummys or u die too!"

After a little while of walking, they started to hear words but not in their language...

"BEHUA NUGATA GAND!"

Rebecca then whispered.

"What are they saying... I don't understand..."

Armin then responded to her by saying.

"Maybe it's orc language?" But before he could say any more the strange eye orc goes mad and said.

"Stupid hummy we could neva speak his woorrds!Without him, we be same old orc he giv us gif so we channnt his woorrds!"

When they arrived they where in a massive pit and in the center was something that shocked the team of rankers and the Orcs continued to chant the unknown words.

"BEHUA NUGATA GAND!"
