"Don't touch me!" screamed Laura before burying herself deeper into her knees. Her whole body could be seen shaking from fright.

On the other hand, Adriel stood from the side, looking at her in confusion. He has yet to do anything but Laura was already in such a state.

"Go away!" Laura once again shouted as tears spilled from the holes in the mask, "Don't touch me..."

"Kevin!!! Come back and take him away!!!" Laura screeched, not even glancing in the direction of the exit. However, in response, only silence filled her ears as she twitched her lips.

Various kinds of negative emotions surged in her heart: hatred, fear, sadness. Laura's current state was unstable and dangerous.

Laura had no means to run away because of the pain in her back, meaning she had to spend all the time with this demon until Kevin came back.

'Come on...Laura...it's not a real demon, just Kevin's pet,' Laura tried to suppress her natural instincts as she lifted her head up slightly.

Adrial stood in the same spot the entire time without arching his back in the slightest. That alone gave Laura some reassurance that the situation wasn't that bad.

But Adrial's cold eyes forced Laura's heart to still feel the inexplicable fear. Unsure of what to do, Laura stood up from the spot and immediately felt an immense pain go through her body.

Still, Laura didn't go back to a sitting position as she motioned towards the side, trying to escape the demon's piercing gaze.

After a few moments, Laura managed to reach the corner of the area as she sat down on the ground with a relieved, deep breath. Laura looked forward, but to her surprise, the demon was already standing right next to her, looking at her from above.

"You ... just go away!" Laura threw a piece of rock that she had found under her hands and managed to hit Adriel right in the head.

Adriel didn't even try to dodge the stone, and just stood on the spot without making any sudden movement. The stone didn't even leave a scratch on Adriel's forehead as it bounced off the surface of his skin and fell to the ground with a slight bump.

When Laura saw the unmoving Adriel, her green eyes watered again.

"Why ... Why do demons always attack humans? Is it about power? Dominance? Or is your race just plain cruel?" Laura began muttering a bunch of questions out of the blue as she lowered her head.

"You, demons, have been spreading chaos all over the world for decades. We, humans, have tried to communicate with all of you, striving for peace, yet demons have only continued to attack. "A few more drops of water fell to the ground as Laura said, "And in one of those attacks, my mother was killed, eaten, and torn apart by demons....Why couldn't humans and demons just live together in peace?"

However, no response was heard from the other side as Laura continued.

"How would you feel if your own parent was killed by humans? I bet that wouldn't feel so great?" Laura said in a sarcastic tone before her whole body suddenly radiated an unfamiliar energy.

"I can't lie, I'm afraid of demons. Not only is your race cruel, but also insensitive to your own parents" Laura rose from the ground, her eyes filled with killing intent.

Without another word, Laura created a water blade from the air itself while her pupils glowed with bright color.

"Since your race is so cruel, I will also become ruthless" With that sentence, Laura stabbed the immobile demon in the stomach, who instantly dissolved into nothingness.

"That's right Laura, in order to defeat someone so cruel, one must also use ruthless methods" Kevin's eyelids changed back into the abysmal ones, "It seems like there's still hope for Laura."

By using [Servants Vision], Kevin managed to catch every word that left Laura's mouth. He saw all the anguish, pain, and relief that wavered around her, but in the end, she managed to suppress that fear.

'Well, she's still not ready to fight the demons on her own, but overall it's great progress.'

Although Kevin was selfish, he wanted to help Laura overcome her fear of demons for many different reasons.

The most genuine and true was the fact that Laura reminded Kevin of himself as a child. During both lives Kevin grew up alone, watching the world through his lonely eyes as if he were not a part of it.

Kevin managed to notice that loneliness in Laura's eyes that reached the deepest part of his remaining heart when he decided to help her this one time.

'Well, even if Laura is powerful, she still has a long way to go in terms of mental strength,' Kevin thought as he leaned forward from his seated position.

Right after leaving the tree, Kevin didn't bother going anywhere as simply rolled against one of the walls and activated [Servant Vision] to enjoy the commotion.

"Come out," Kevin summoned Adriel once again, who appeared out of thin air, "Show me the way to the demon's base."

The demon nodded in response, beginning to move towards the green forest. Before following his servant, Kevin summoned all the wolves and ordered them to guard Laura.

Laura's current condition was weak, both mentally and physically, and in case another ordeal of demons appeared, the wolves would defend her.

Considering the power of these three demons, Kevin's servants should be able to deal with them without any problems.

"Lead the way" Kevin jumped on Osun as the latter followed the running demon. Countless different types of trees, bushes, and leaves could be seen as Kevin advanced deeper into the forest.

Withing the deepness, the danger rose correspondingly. Many different beasts could be seen located around, which Kevin tried to pass unmolested.

Adrial in the lead didn't seem to care about the nearby monsters either, as his gaze was fully fixated on the path ahead. Kevin managed to catch a slight hint of nervousness and fear deep within Adriel.

"Interesting ..."

Land of China.

In a spacious room bathed in the rays of the afternoon sun, a group of people could be seen talking to each other. All of them were sitting under the table, looking at each other with complicated expressions on their faces.

"The airplane that was boarded by Laura had been destroyed by the beasts," a man with a long, dark beard broke the silence as his expression turned complicated.

"Is there any chance she's still alive?" a woman with a pair of sweet lips and blue hair that was neatly tied into a ponytail asked with her eyes narrowed.

"Considering that she's a Water-type mage, there's a possibility that she survived the fall from the airplane ... But after that..." the man placed his hand on his reddened forehead as he fell silent.

"Even if there's only a slim chance of her staying alive, it's still better to at least try to find her," the person with the protruding ears and blonde hair spoke while sliding his hand through the wooden bow, "I'm sure Sebastian wouldn't be too happy if we didn't even try to find his daughter"

"Dispatch 100 warships with 3 superhumans on each to survey around the usual flight path" the woman ordered the huge man next to her whose head almost reached the ceiling of the room.

"Yes ma'am," the man replied and promptly left the room, making a loud bump with each step he took.

"You've found a great assistant. His name is Titan, isn't it?" the blond-haired man said, "I heard he's already reached the eighth level of superhuman"

"That's right, he might take my spot one day" the woman smiled broadly before standing up "Let's continue our conversation outside".
