Chapter 2: Discovering new things and feelings

"When you can't stop the rain, stay in the rain together."

"It usually rains here? I was caught up in rain yesterday too." I heard a voice and I turned to look at the owner of the voice and then I found a girl; the same girl. No doubt the voice sounded familiar.

"Sometimes yes, sometimes no" I replied her looking at the busy street; where people were walking holding umbrella and some were running in rain. And some were enjoying rain, either by holding umbrellas or directly under the rain by walking gracefully with a smile on their faces; which showed that they were happy and enjoying rain.

"You should complete that book; I love that book" she said. I looked at her and smiled.

"Yes. I'm on my way to complete it."

"Yea' I wish life could take turns like that. I wish my life could take turns and I could live happily. Certain times reading books make me live in that life and makes me want to live that life."

"You are right."

"You know... while reading so many books it gave me an idea to travel and discover little things. At least I'm happy discovering things and places but specially emotions" She was smiling... that smile could describe how happy she was. "Certain times... I think how it would be to experience all the emotions in reality. And certain times I think that why can't people understand that books are really precious. Can't they even appreciate us for a second? Not even us, can't they just appreciate books for a second. " she continued.

"I too think so... why people can't understand. I wish I could make them understand that how a book can change a life and what actually passion is for us." I spoke after I found a reason in her lines... This was the first time I ever talked with a stranger for so long whom I met right now and it felt so comfortable. I don't even remember when did I had a conversation with someone about my interest for so long because basically except my friends everyone is busy telling me their interest and indirectly forcing me to follow their paths while is out of my will and interest.

"Thanks a lot for listening to me patiently."

"Mention not."

"I'll be going back tomorrow afternoon. Back to Seoul."

"What? Why? Tomorrow?" it took me some seconds to process her words. She is going to leave tomorrow.

"I would've been glad to stay here, meeting with you more often but I need to return tomorrow cause I'm on my graduation trip which I got after exams." She smiled bitterly; that bitter smile told me how much she was sad. She was about to walk away in the rain. But I took out my umbrella and spoke what my heart wanted to...

"Wait. Take this; let me show you some undiscovered places today. 'cause it's your last day here."

I held the umbrella and she was walking beside me. While walking she told me about Seoul; how she lives there, how she feels alone sometimes and how she got into books and everything. Even she told me that one day she kept on reading a novel for 7 hours. And from that day, it was common for her.

While walking in the rain, I kept on taking glances and we also had eyes contact certain times. Whenever we had eye contact she looked away and started smiling. That was a shy smile. It's my first time having a girl beside me. And she is a beautiful girl with a pretty smile.

She's a cute looking girl full of passion and enthusiasm. From what I can; she's a girl full of love with books and she loves discovering.

"Wanna see something beautiful?" I asked her

"Sure" she didn't ask me back about the place and smiled brightly. Despite this gloomy weather she's happy.

Now I'm sure her smile surely have something that makes my heart beat. Her smile was somehow different... it was sweet and innocent. My silly heart was beating fast whenever she smiled at me.

I took her to a place from where we can see the full view of Busan. That place surely had height; it was still raining, so it was all and the way was too slippery due to rain. When we reached the top the rain stopped pouring. The fog was getting clear and after sometime the city was visible.

"Busan is so beautiful." She says and admires the view and I chuckled at her silliness. She takes few clicks and spreads her arms.

I took out my camera which was indide my bag snd clicked her pictures; where she looked so pretty. Atleast I wanted to make her day memorable and make her last day beautiful.

"Let's go down and let me take you to my favorite café" I told her

"Let's go." she said excitedly.

While going down, we were walking really close; even sometimes our hands were brushing with each other. "Ahh" she was about to slip but I quickly helped her. I held her tight by her arm.

"Be careful. The way is slippery and it's due to rain. Hold me; no wait. Let me hold you and take care of you here." I said her. She need to be careful; and I think I can take care of her. She nodded and I held her hand. Our fingers interlinked with each other and she tightened her grip around my fingers and felt an urge to not to let go of her grip. I noticed while walking she was smiling more like she was blushing cause her dimples were visible and her faint pink tint colour was visible on her cheeks.

But my heart was beating fast. I never had this feeling; this feeling was unknown to me. Her smile, her face, she herself... is something I wanna protect and give her happiness which she deserves. She's precious.
