1 Chapter 1: Strange Meeting

I woke up; feeling mum screaming at me to wake up. After getting fresh I went downstairs for breakfast. I saw mum serving food for my brother and father and she gestured me to sit. I was holding a book in my hand, which I wanted to complete today.

I sat on chair and then kept a bookmark in the book, so that later I won't have problem finding the page where I left. Then I kept the book on the table and was about to eat my breakfast.

"Dear, at least for now; find some internship and keep those books aside. You need to find a job." I heard dad say and my gaze went to him, he was fully focused in the newspaper headlines.

"Sure dad." I said almost with no feeling and a forced smile; looking all cheerful, one fake smile is enough to make others believe that you're okay.

"What are you going to do today?" dad asked

"I'll be going for an internship today." I replied.

"That's good then. I hope you get a job after your graduation." Dad said and smiled at me. I completed my breakfast and took my book and kept it inside my bag.

I looked at him before going out.

I took my bag and headed out of my house and bid a farewell, "I'm going." A lot of thoughts started coming into my mind while walking.

I always wanted to tell them that I don't want to do what they want. I want to do what I want and I have a dream. I want to live my dream not their. Someone told me once "Don't be trapped in someone else's dream" and I want to live my dream for my happiness. Sometime being selfish is better than losing everything including your happiness and regretting.

While walking suddenly a figure caught my eye; I saw her face. She was wearing a white dress and she looked like she is either lost or finding something. And after looking at her; I again started walking towards my destiny.

I opened the door, "Hey Min. Welcome to work." I love books; frankly if I could then I would love to spend my whole life with books. Being with them gives me happiness. I work as a part timer in bookstore. I did lie to my parents about internships.

I saw my co-worker smiling at me. He was Gguk. He was calm guy. I went to him and smiled. He's really a good guy and both of us share the same dream. We are University mates; with him I share nearly everything.

I started arranging some books. I kept them on their places and sometimes some books caught my attention and I used to stare at those books.

Sometimes I just wish,only if I could live in the world of books then I would have brought a library under my name and definitely a music studio. I would love to spend my time with books and music. Reality hit me when a book dropped from upper self on me. and while keeping that book. A book caught my attention; so I kept that book and took out the new book "Let It Snow" which I left in middle once and then someone took it and again returned it.

Right now, continuing that book seemed as the best thing so I started reading. After sometime I saw the time; I kept it hurriedly and started to work again. I kept a bookmark on the page where I left. Arranging the books are best. It feels so good. Literally so good

I went back to the counter and while staring at the door; it opened and revealed a girl; the girl whom I saw on streets. She looked at me and we had a short eye contact. I saw her staring at the books and going from one self to the other self. And then I saw; she took out a book. She was reading and smiling and I also smiled at that thought that she must be enjoying that book. But then my eyes landed on the book and I figured out that; the book she was holding was the one which I left. I again smiled; unknowingly. I saw her reading and I resumed my work. But I felt nervous; all of a sudden. I just hope that she doesn't buy this; I haven't completed this book yet.

She walked to me and she was holding my bookmark.

"May I know whose bookmark is this? It was inside this book. And it's written that 'I LOVE BOOKS NO MATTER HOW THEY ARE, LET'S TRUST THEM AND FIND OUR THE DESTINY; OUT OF THEM.'" I quickly bowed her and said "I'm sorry. It's my bookmark." And I looked at her, she was smiling sweetly.

'Everytime she smiles; it makes my heart beat fast.

Unknowingly she was special for me.'

"Do you want to buy it?" I asked her still feeling nervous because I wanted to complete that book but if she says she will buy; then I'll definitely give it to her.

"It's a bit costly." She kept that book on my desk and before leaving she smiled at me. She left with her pretty smile. Soon after she left I went to keep that book in its place; keeping that bookmark in it.

While keeping "Let it Snow" I thought about that girl; she was definitely the one whom I saw in the morning while coming here. I wonder how she is and hope she will find her destiny soon.

I shrugged her thoughts off my mind and kept"Let It Snow" where it was; I went back to my counter and resumed my work.

After some time, customers started coming and I became busy and didn't get chance to think about that girl again.

My shift was over by now. The door opened and I stepped out of the bookstore. "Goodbye Min. Have a nice day ahead" I heard Gguk said and I smiled at him and left. I looked at the streets and it was raining.

"It usually rains here? I was caught up in rain yesterday too." I heard a voice.
