|Chapter Eight|

      Ever since I was a child,I have been taught the pyrimade of living beings,where humans were near the buttom of the pyramide under which animals and lower creature. Mainwhile, Us Pureblooded Vampires were at the top of the Pyramide.

I always wondered if that pyramide was fair. Why would humans be lower than us?Do they exsist just to be our food stock?why can't we be friends with them?

Back then through the years,My family had so many human servants some of which exsist for the lone purpose of feeding off them.

We can eat all types of food but only human blood satisfies us. My parents had over hundred human servants to feed off, whom they replace almost every year because they would be "expired".

I was taught to feed off human maids too but I usually felt an enourmous amout of guilt later.

I grew fond of humans,and my interest in them increased as I grew up,inspite of being surrounded by vicious humanblood sucking monsters.

Vampire kids usually go to vampire schools at night but I hated the idea of going to school with such vicious monsters,but I made an silly reason why I do not want to attend school everytime my parts brought up the vampire school topic,so they decided to home tutor me, which mainly taught me nothing but Vampires rules and how to make humans the slaves they should be. Along with Music,litrature,art,ethics,poetry,horse ridding,fencing and most importantly how to control my vampire powers.

When I turned ninteen years old in vampire age,which is over two hundred years old in human age,I decided that I wanted to attend a school where humans learn,and make friends there.

I faked a whole identity,I decided my name woule be Jeonghan,I'd be ninteen years old teen thus a senior high school student,I lied about transfering to another school having night classes ,because of a chronic skin disease that makes my skin burn if it was exposed to direct sunlight.

Humans are easy decieved which I feel sympathy for,yet made everything easy for me to attend such school,only my own servant knew and helped me with forging the fake papers.

So,on my first school day,or should I call it first school night,I packed my dinner which was mainly human food and my favourite drink,raw animal liver smoothy.

"Ewww!!Guys look! The new boy got a disgusting drink here!"

Said a boy in the class once I took out my dinner, he kept examining my lunch box and juice bottle beckoning the other kids to come to my desk.

The smile on my face disappeared once they all started giving me disgusted looks like I just ate a dead rat in front of them.

Only one girl didn't seem interested to mock me and inspect my food,as she just sat alone eating calmly.

After she was done,she put away the leftovers and walked to my desk,where I just sat there feeling embaressed and cast away.

"What's your name?"

She steadly asked.

"Jonath-...Jeonghan! Is my name, what about you?"

I stuttered.

"Choi Rosalitta,You can just call me Rosie,and I'll just call you Han."

She beamed then took a seat beside me which drew a wide grin on my pale face.

"Do you still have that weird juice?Can I have a sip?"

She asked.

I hurridly put the bottle in front of her while beaming cheerfully. She held the bottle cauciously near her pink lips and as she took a sip I said introducing my drink,

"It is liver smoothy,how do you like it?"

She imediatly sprayed what she drank on my face and almost chocked.

"It's a what??"

She exclaimed.

"Liver smoothy,raw one...am sorry,are you okay?"

I said as I slightly patted her small back.

She took out a handkerchief and softly wiped my face and hair while apologising scencerly,

"Oh!my god! Am really sorry,Hannie,your face and hair is now ruined because of me."

"It's okay,Rosie,my drink must be disgusting and ew like the others said."

I said in a sorrowful tone.

"No,No! It's not that bad,but I prefere sweet drinks,that one was non sweetened,that's why."

She said as she put away her stained handkerchief.

"I don't really like sweet food."

I mumbeled as I put away the "ew" drink back in my backbag while swearing to myself not to bring such type of drinks to school again.

Inspite of the horrible first school night,I went back home feeling happy as I finaly made friends,Rosie,was the name of my first human friend.

Soon our friendship deepened and something else other than friendship bloomed inside my heart,Love.

She was my first love,and She was a human above all ,back when I was taught that we should only treat humans like the low creatures and slaves they are.

One day,I decided I should confesse my feelings to her in a romantic way,I knew she loved sunset and sunrise,so I had to choose one to confess to her at.

I should have choose sunset as it would be safer for me but I ended up choosing sunrise.

I wrote a note and hide it in her desk drawer telling her to see me early morning tomorrow at Four before the sunrises by the old oak tree in her favourite park.

Classes seemed like it would last forever that night,yet she didn't seem to notice my note,but I assumed she felt embaressed for some reason so she didn't talk about it the whole day.

The next day,I went to the park,waited and waited but she didn't come,Soon,the sun started to rise as I sat by the old tree which provided a perfect shade for me.

I heard calm footsteps nearby so I got up and turned around towards the person who just aproached the other side of the tree behind me.

"Rosie!"

I called her name in delight.

But it wasn't Rosie,instead it was the group of boys who always mocked me and talked trash about me the whole time.

"Aw,Our little red ridding hood is here waiting for her bestiee"

Their leader,Mathio,said in a mocking tone as he patted my head roughly.

"I always thought your hair looked like the creepy drink you brought to school back then,disgusting. Everything about you seems disgusting,you even look like a girl,the name red ridding hood suits you the most."

He added as he held my face close then pushed me back away from the tree shade and in the rest of the gang's grip,who tightly held by my shoulders restraining my movement until their leader got ready

*Punch*

He punched me hard on my cheek bone leaving a red mark printed there.

It didn't hurt that much,Humans are weak and fragile like I was always taught.

The sun rays slowly started to crowl over my bare skin of my face and arms which stung really much.

I winced from pain gaining a look of satisfiction from the boys specially their leader who grinned,

"I was curious what will happen to you when you go out in the sunlight. The opportiunity came to me on a golden plate."

He sneered.

"The note you left for Rosalitta, 'Meet me by the old oak tree in our favourite park at Four this morning,I have something to say,Hannie' ,Aww!"

Mathio mocked.

I felts great anger and hatered towards those humans,yet I tried hard to control my vampire powers or they would have end up dead,and I didn't want to murder my classmates, even if they hurt me.

Soon,my burns started to get worse and I started to feel drowsy and weak.

"Leave him alone!"

A man voice yelled as he grabbed Mathio from the back of his shirt and did a strong headlock around his neck that made the other boys panic and run away loosening their grib on my shoulders.

I tried to keep my balance but I collapsed on my knees gaining more pruises over them.

I gasped apon seeing Rosie running towards me with a face full of concerne.

"Hannie!!Are you okay?"

She cried as she ebmbraced me while wraping her hands around my head examining my face.

I nodded while patting her back softly to calm her down.

"Rose,we should take him inside for now or his skin burns might get worse."

Said the man with the same eyes as Rosie,who later introduced himself as Rosie's older brother,Choi Mingcheol.

They took me to their house,where they tried hard to treat the burns which spead all over my exposed arm and face skin,I should have woreong sleeved hooded cloak or something,but my nervousness and anticepation upon seeing her that day made me forget all those trivial details.

"How did you know I was in the park? I thought Mathio and the others read the note and hide it so you wont come."

I said as she patted my cheeks with burn oinment that smelled like hazelnut for some reason,On a side note I thought they didn't need to treat the burns though,they would heal by their own.

"A kid from the neighborhood who used to see us together, was playing there and noticed the boys restraining you and thought they could hurt you so he ran to my housep,then I brought my brother along with me to teach those boys a lesson,since he knows Taekwondo."

She said as her grin reached both her ears,while bragging about her brother.

"They called me little red redding hood.."

I mumbeled.

"Aw..Oh No! How could they dare call my Hannie little red redding hood,those wolves!"

She said in a tone similar to mom's.

I beamed as I held her both hands and peered into her deep blue eyes with passion.

"I really Like you,Choi Rosalitta."

I confessed which made Rosie's face turn a shade of pink,I smilled and leaned in but I was inturrebted,

"Ehem...hey,guys."

That was Rosie's brother,Mingcheol.

Her brother was the exriemely protective type,he almost flipped me aside while squizing his body to sit between us,

"So,You are Rosalitta's best friend?"

He asked.

"She never stops talking about you,How did you become best friends so fast?"

He added while speaking too fast not lettimg me even answer the first question.

"Are your burns still hurt?Rosie,Get more oinment!"

He held my face while examining the burns,which started to heal.

"I thought you got severe burns on your cheeks,but it turned out to be just minor burn."

He commented,as he peered at me in curousity.

"You know,I guess you need to eat well,why do you look so malnatured?Rosie lets cook."

He finally said then grabbed Rosie's arm while getting up so they both head to the kitchen,leaving me staring at their backs while blinking in disbelief.

That was the day,Rosie's brother Mingcheol became my friend as well,he was energetic and cheerful the whole time yet ready to punch or headlock to death anyone who dares to flirt with his only sister,yet the three of us became inseperable.
