With a calm look on his face, William looked at the burning eyes above.
"Cursed child, why have you come here." Phoenix asked in a majestic voice.
"I am here to take on the trial Phoenix God."
"..."
Silence enveloped the room as the Phoenix narrowed it's eyes at William.
[*Beep*]
[Warning! Warning! some unknown power is trying to read host's memories.]
[Coming up with the best way to counter....]
[*Beep*]
[Using 500 divine points to hide host's memories]
William's facial expression didn't change as he looked at the messages from the corner of his eyes.
"You.....a mere tenth level of elementary profound realm wants to challenge the phoenix trial?." The Phoenix's voice sounded amused as if it has heard the joke of the century.
"Return now and I will think that you never stepped foot on the trial grounds in the first place." Phoenix said as it closed it's eyes.
Not moving an inch, William stood on the same place as he gazed at the place where the Phoenix's eyes disappeared.
Having no intention of moving, William kept waiting.
Seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into hours.
Time continued to tickle by but neither William nor the Phoenix spirit showed any sign of moving.
Silently five days passed by.
Without food and water, Fèng bǎichuān's's body started showing clear signs of malnutrition.
Dark spots could be seen under his eyes, his lips has turned dry and his healthy body from before now excludes an aura of weakness.
*Shiver*
Perhaps it was because of not eating anything for days, Fèng bǎichuān's's legs started shaking too tired to stand straight.
Yet his eyes were clear without a hint of doubt in them.

Suddenly a sigh with mixed feelings resounded through the dark space.
"Cursed child...."
"Why do you want to sacrifice yourself?" Phoenix asked in an annoyed voice.
Looking at the burning eyes above, William parted his dry lips and said.
"I want to challenge the Phoenix God's trial."

The Phoenix God's spirit silently stared at the man in front of it.
She has already looked into the memories of this Fèng bǎichuān and know that there is nothing special about the man.
Below average talent and with the curse that she had placed on the tribe, It is already his limit to have reached tenth level of elementary profound realm.
Looking at the dark red mark on Fèng bǎichuān's forehead, mixed feeling surged in her heart.
The Phoenix's spirit has long started regretting her decision of that time.

William tilted his head when he heard what the phoenix's spirit said.
"Fine." William said in a neutral voice.
Getting his confirmation, The Phoenix's spirit directly moved into action as it has long ago wanted to get rid of the curse.
William's face hardened as a burning sensation came from his forehead.
'Phoenix's blood.' William could feel a flame burning in his profound veins.
As the dormant Phoenix's blood in Fèng bǎichuān's's body activated, The previous state of malnutrition started disappearing as his body returned back to it's peak.
Looking at the scene, the Phoenix God's spirit was satisfied to be able to get rid of the remorse which had been bothering her for centuries.
"The curse of your tribe should also be cured by now.", Phoenix God's spirit continued in a majestic voice.
"Now you may lea---"
"Let's start the trial" A voice interrupted the Phoenix.
"...."
Phoenix's spirit looked at William in confusion as she said.
"But I already removed the curse"
"Let's start the trial."
"Even with your bloodline awakened you will not be able to pass the first stage."
"Let's start the trial."

"Let's start the trial."
"Do you only know how to say one line?"
Seeing William's resolute behavious, Phoenix God's spirit said in an annoyed voice.
"Fine if you want to die so badly then let me fulfill your wish."
Phoenix's spirit shouted as the dark space arround William started changing.
"Since you are from the Phoenix clan you should already know about the three trials right?"
"Mhm", William nodded.
"Then let us start the first trial Purgatory Flame Demon."
The world around William started burning as flames surrounded his surroundings.
*Sizzle*
White smoke started coming out of William's feets which were in contact with the lava below.
Circulating his profound energy and activating the phoenix blood, William managed to get the flames to a bearable level.
But even with the Phoenix's blood it felt like he has been thrown in a pond of burning water.
*Boom*
Just as William was getting used to the temperature, The ground near his feets exploded as a giant hand reached out.
Jumping back, William got away from the place and looked at the giant flame demon in front of him.
[Purgatory Flame Demon- Peak of Nascent profound realm.]
[With the current body, Host's has no chance of winning.]
Looking at the messages William asked in his mind.
'Do you have a way then?'
[*Beep*]
[System suggests to use divine points to temporarily enable host to use all his skills in the current body.]
'How much will be needed?'
[After deducting Host will be left with 60 divine points.]
William frowned as he thought whether it was worth it to spend so many divine points on the Phoenix's trial.
But he didn't think long as the heat in the surrounding started burning his skin.
'Do it.'
[Consuming divine points.....releasing the seal on divine soul... successful...]
[Activating status.]
At a speed visible to the naked eye, Burned skin on William's body started healing.
'Regeneration.....', One of his best skills immediately started showing it's powerful effect.

Suddenly the flames started to ignore William as they changed their direction whenever they were about to touch his skin.

- Can control the four basic elements fire, water, wind and earth.]
A brown light covered William's right hand as he sent a punch at the Purgatory Flame Demon.
The attack hit it's head, making a small cut on it's body as the flame demon shouted in anger and send a fireball at William.
*Boom*
An explosion happened as the fireball exploded on William's face.
A grin appeared on the Purgatory demons face as it looked at the place burned by it's attack.
Just as Purgatory demon was about to take a step forward.
*Swish*
At a speed faster than it could react, A wind blade came out of the burning fireball and bisected the flame demon in two.
A look of disbelief appeared on Purgatory demon's face as it saw a bunch of wind blades flying towards it.
*Boom*
With a giant explosion the Flame demon exploded into tiny little sparks.
At the same time a figure stepped out of the fire attack of the purgatory demon.
"Spicy", William commented as his body which has been charred black was regeneration at a speed visible to the naked eye.
[*Beep]
[Congratulation Host for killing Purgatory Flame Demon, received 40 divine points.]
At the same time the Phoenix spirit who was has watched the entire scene had a dumbfounded expression on her face.
'Even the Phoenix didn't have such regeneration power.....'
With her mouth wide open, she stared as new skin appeared on William's body and the charred skin easily fell off.
Although her real body in primordial times could also do it, but he's still in the mortal stages! even the phoenix wouldn't have been able to do it if she was in the mortal stages!.
She was wondering who was the real phoenix here....
