A/N: Hi, my lovely phoenixes, dragons and phoenix-dragons, Tiff here. I just wanted to let yall know that now that I am no longer as sick as I was, I read back over this update and realized I left out several things, so I edited it. Those who read it before the edit please read it again and know that there will be things in the next chapter was previously but no longer in this chapter, in the next chapter. Nix's P.O.V.:

 Phoenix honestly could not recall ever laughing so genuinely before. He never knew teasing someone could be this fun or feel this good. It is a good thing to have such a sweet and cute little brother. Beyol Joon came back to his senses and began to pout.

 "Hey, now. I choose to be single, ok?! I just have more important things to focus on, like keeping my spot as top student, passing the college entrance exam while securing a scholarship and a placing at the state swim meet and getting to nationals. Also, I cannot take my eyes off you."

 That last statement was said exasperatedly and with a double meaning, but he would never admit that to Nix. Beyol Joon looked down shyly as he quickly composed himself.

 As Beyol Joon looked up, saw see two small groups. One group was made up of a few of his fellow swim teammates and the other was a of beta girls. "Fucking great, here we go." Beyol Joon grumbled under his breath, but Nix caught it and was quick to reprimand him. "Watch your language Beyol Joon!" Nix might have a potty mouth when it comes to his private thoughts, but he strives to be respectable when speaking out loud. Beyol Joon looked like a puppy who had just be scolded by its master.

 Nix was looking forward to meeting his little bother's friends and teammates as the shell had never properly met them before. 'Solaris help me keep an eye on the time. I do not want to miss the chance to get to meet some of Joon

 After he scolded Joon on his cursing, he decided to tease him after he saw Joon's reaction to the two group of students. "Joon-ah, what's wrong? You act as if you have seen a ghost and bit into a lemon at the same time, it's cute." Nix asked while cocking his left eyebrow up at while sporting a knowing smile.

 Just as Beyol Joon was about to respond, several of his fellow swim team members rushed up to them upon recognizing him. The group of teen boys quickly became excited and animated with one in particular that seemed to gush over him the most. This had Beyol Joon quickly taking the arm he had link with Phoenix and wrapped it around his shoulder in a protective and almost possessive manner. Phoenix just chuckled and gently shook his head at his little bother's antics.

 The group of 5 teen boys quickly walked over to us and greeted Beyol Joon before turning their heads all to face Nix with smiles so big he could only describe them as shit eating grins. It was clear that they were all excited to see Phoenix with Beyol Joon, but he got the feeling it was because they were excited to see him with someone and an omega to boot. 'This is going to be entertaining, but I hope it doesn't take long or I will be late.' Nix thought to himself. 

 "Yo, Captain Beyol, glad you finally made it this morning. We were all starting to worry since you are usually here before us." said a tall Beta with light blonde hair and green eyes. Nix silently watched and waited for Beyol Joon to introduce them to him, while deciding to have Solaris give him full repots on each of them later. 

 "Yeah, no kidding, even Sam Youngsoo beat you here." Said a tall hand handsome beta with dark auburn hair and light hazel eyes so dark they appeared black as well, which was a stark contrast to his creamy skin that reminded Nix of the color natural linen. He let his eyes linger on the young man for a few seconds before turning his gaze when another boy from the group spoke up next.

 "Oh, what do we have here? Hyung, why don't you introduce us to your very beautiful friend you have here?" An average looking beta with strawberry blonde hair and baby blue eyes, who wore a flirtatious smirk and winked at Phoenix while making his brows dance.

 -Beyol Joon - "Oh, shut it Song Dae-Hyun and stop flirting with him if you know what's good for you! I will give you a demerit of 150 laps. If you don't believe me, just try and pull that crap again! It's just gross and sleezy, haven't you learned you lesson yet? Geeze this is why you are still single."

 Beyol Joon pushed the strawberry blonde hair boy named Song Dae-Hyun away with his raised foot and leg, scowling the entire time. He did not want this particular friend anywhere near his hyung. Song Dae-Hyun was a notorious flirt, who thought himself a suave, debonair, Casanova but is actually just a sexually frustrated virgin who has never had a girlfriend let alone an omega.

-Beyol Joon - grumpily spat out - "In fact stay at least 6 feet or better yet a full 2 meters back from him." 

-Song Dae-Hyun - "Ahh, hyung you wound me, what have I ever done so wrong for you to treat me this way. Is it just because I am the youngest? Is that why you won't let me get close to the beautiful omega? Come on, it is not as if I am going to steal him from you."

 The last part of that statement had Beyol Joon about to flip a table. The look Beyol Joon gave Song Dae-Hyun clearly said, as if you could even try. This banter between his little brother and his teammates had Nix chuckling until he noticed the face on one of the boys. It was one that was clearly of someone who was having their heart broken. Nix could accurately speculate that the boy had a secret crush on his little brother.

 He took in the young man's appearance. He had black shoulder length hair that was pulled up in a half top knot bun, gray peach blossom eyes framed by soft arching brows. His lips were dark pink almost red in color and were soft and plump. He had a small square chin, a delicate arched nose bridge, pinchable round cheeks and an overall round but slim face. He was stunning with his fine facial features and his clear soft pale skin with a pink undertone. One would think he was an omega if it weren't for the boy's height. He was shorter than the other beta males but too tall to be an omega. 

 After checking with Solaris, he learned that the boy's name is San Woo-Young, and he is a recessive omega who hides his secondary status due to the prejudices against recessive omegas. Just like Beyol Bong Tae-Hwan, San Woo-Young did not want to be judged by his secondary status but by his own merits. And just like him San Woo-Yong also comes from a family of all betas. With a bit more digging using Solaris, it appeared that Nix's gut instinct is correct, and that San Woo-Young has been in love with Beyol Joon for years but has never confessed his feelings to him in fear that Beyol Joon would look at him in disgust. 

 Sadly, in this world homophobia still persist. They still believe that beta males should only be with females, alpha males should not be with other male alphas and that female omegas should not be with another female unless they were an alpha. The exception was when a dominant alpha or omega was involved because it was natural for them draw in and respond to all genders and sexes.

 'Fucking disgusting, ignorant and stupid bigots! Why does it matter as long as it is not an adult with a child or bestiality? I wonder how Joon-ah feels about the boy though...' He thought to himself as he drew his attention back to his little brother.

-Phoenix - "Joon-ah why don't you be polite and introduce your friends to me, please." He smiled up at his little brother with mirth twinkling in his eyes. (o^▽^o)

-Beyol Joon - ears red with embarrassment from being rude to his hyung when he knew he was in a hurry - "Hyung you are right, please forgive my oversight and allow me to introduce my friends and teammates."

-Phoenix - simply nods with a gentle smile for him to go on.

-Beyol Joon - "You are right hung. I will make this easy. The one with light blonde hair and dark green eyes is Jang Kang-Dae, The one with dyed dark purple hair and dark brown eyes Sam Youngsoo. Next to him the one with golden blonde hair & honey brown eyes is An Dae-Ho. Then we have Bong In-Su, he has black hair and brown/black eyes, likes to swim outdoors and then sunbathe so his skin is really tan."

-Bong In-Su - "Hey, don't hate. It is very relaxing and comfortable to lie in the sun after a really good swim! I keep telling you to try it, but you always just scoffed at me and proceed to lecture me about sun damage and popper skin care."

-Beyol Joon - "Because you really should be wearing sun block at all times and limiting the amount of sun exposure in order to not damage your skin. None of us can afford a private healing pod and you know you cannot go to the local clinic just for that, as it is considered cosmetic until it turns into cancer. Anyways, don't interrupt. Sorry about that hyung, where was I, oh yeah, next we have my co-captain Moobon Myung. He is the one with dark auburn hair, light hazel eyes and clear, cream skin the color of natural linen, because he actually listens unlike Bong In-Su."

-Bong In-Su - "Cap, why are you picking on me? I didn't do anything unlike Song Dae-Hyun."

-Song Dae-Hyun - "Hey, what the..."

They were both cut off by the sharp side eye Beyol Joon flashed at them, Nix could not help but think that poor Joon-ah has a bunch of rowdy troublemakers for kids. He just chuckled and lightly pinched Joon-ah's non-existent love handle to reel him in and get him to finish the introductions, after all he was really pressed for time. 

-Beyol Joon - clears throat "And last we have my best friend San Woo-Young. He is the one with long black hair, in the half top knot, almost like yours and gray peach blossom eyes. He may be on the shorter side but don't let that fool you! He is one of our fastest swimmers and our top diver. He also has flawless skin like you because he takes care of his skin unlike some unruly teammates of mine." 

 Nix noticed that the very tips of Joon-ah's ears were turning red when he introduced San Woo-Young to him, and how he gave more description about him then the others. He was now sure that both boys had feelings for one another, but he was also sure that neither would ever confess without a little push. They should be together if that is what their hearts want. He has seen in San Woo-Young's life, and he is a true white lotus, and he has no doubt that Joon-ah would be very happy with him.

-Beyol Joon - "Everyone I would like to introduce you to my hyung Beyol Bong Tae-Hwan. He goes by Phoenix but do not call him that unless he gives you permission. I am talking about you Song Dae-Hyun!"

-Song Dae-Hyun - "Are you not gonna introduce me too?"

-Beyol Joon - "Why would I do that? Hyung is smart he can figure out who you are just by context! Like I said stay back 2 meters, my brother doesn't need you hitting on him."

 Nix who had been watching San Woo-Young from the corner of his eye notice him instantly jerk up his down cast gaze upon hearing Joon-ah refer to Nix as his brother. 'Poor thing definitely thought I was Joon-ah's omega. Bless his heart, how can these 2 cute dummies not realize they have feelings for one another? Sigh, I will have to get his contact dets and talk with him later, since I do not have enough time this morning.'

 He found the whole interaction funny and was smiling brightly, enjoying the precious moments he had with Joon-ah and his friends/teammates despite the urgency to leave for his own classes. That joy quickly turned strained and then sour. 

 The group of girls began heading their way after seeing the swim team members talking with Beyol Joon and the beautiful omega wrapped in his arms. 'Great here we go again' Beyol Joon thought to himself as he stiffened, and his face turned a bit ashen when he saw the group of girls as they approached. Nix did not even need to ask what was wrong because it was written all over his face, annoyance, disgust and uncomfortableness were all showing on his face as he looked away from the approaching gaggle of girls.

 He instinctively found himself feeling protective when a particular female stepped forward and coquettishly called out to Beyol Joon. He was not sure what it was about this girl, but he instantly felt on guard and wrapped his arm around his little brother as well, though due to the height difference between them his arm only went reached right above his natural waist.

 Taking a moment to access the group of girls as they approached Nix could not help the negative presentiment that had formed in his heart. He was not quite sure why he felt negatively about them since he had never met these girls, not even the original had but still the feeling to protect his little brother from them hit him like a tidal wave.

 He took a small step to slightly stand in front of Beyol Joon taking on a slightly protective stance. He narrowed his eyes at the girl who made his had his instincts at full attention, but kept his smile on, as they approached with shy smiles and obvious signs of both excitement and trepidation as the girl who appeared to be the leader spoke up as she tucked her hair behind her right ear.

 The action accentuated her delicate neck and small face while bringing one's attention to her slender hands. Beyol Joon internally rolled his eyes and sneered at the school's bell. How no one else could see that she is a white lotus bitch, he would never understand. He is not sure how he managed to keep from losing his breakfast when she looked up at him with large doe eyes and spoke coquettishly to him.

 "Obba/Oppa, you are here. Are you ready for the math test this morning? I know you will do great. I made you these cookies as a good luck gift." She handed Beyol Joon a small bag of chocolate mint cookies that he could tell was obviously store bought are repackaged. All the while shooting nasty glares at Phoenix. He could tell she wanted to rip him away from Beyol Joon and probably threaten him to stay away from "her man" and all that jazz BS. 

 He quickly did a search on this girl using Solaris and found out her name is Soo Yun and she was an omega from another all-beta family. The problem was not that she was on omega who clearly had her sight set on "bagging" his Joon-ah but that she was a fake white lotus, entitled bitch who refused to take the hint and flat-out rejection from Beyol Joon to heart.

 Beyol Joon's right eye twitched as his thoughts were filled with things a gentleman should not say in public. 'Fucking disgusting, lying manipulative…' his internal thoughts were interrupted when Phoenix said "Joon-ah, you should say thank you to your girl… I mean female friend here After all she was oh so kind enough to go out of her way to make these cookies just for you?" All the while he had on such an innocent and sincere simile that reached his twinkling eyes. 

 He was just barely able to stifle the laugh that was desperately fighting to break out. So, he settled for laughing in his heart as Beyol Joon shot daggers at him before he gave an obligatory tight lipped "Thank You" that was as cold as dry ice, still not taking the offered cookies.

 At this he just shook his head before turning a dazzling smile to the poor girl. "I apologize for my little Joon-ah's lack of manners this morning; as, he did not get much sleep. I am afraid I kept him up very late into the night, so he is a tad cranky. I hope that you will not hold it against him too much." Phoenix said without missing a beat.

 He gave a haughty smirk when the rest of the young ladies turned as red as cherries while stammering to reassure him that they would not hold it against Beyol Joon in any form. Soo Yun on the other hand not only had dark lines across her face but looked like she would spit blood at any time. She quickly turned and walked away quickly trying to hide the tears in her eyes after seeing Beyol Joon look at the "shameless omega slut" with such tenderness, love and appreciation. 

 "Ladies if you do not mind, please excuse us I need to finish speaking with my little Joon-ah before I head off to uni." Phoenix said with a gentle smile and a light bow; not forgetting that, he was now a public figure and had to keep his image up. The last thing He needed was a bulling scandal and he did not put it past this little girl to stir up a shit show just for shits and giggles.

 Soo Yun was displeased but she had no other choice then to politely smile back and bid the boys an ado, before hastily turning around and reluctantly leaving with her friends trailing behind her.

 'This little girl must think she is the FL of a manhwa or something by the way she acts. I can see the steam pouring from her head and her metaphorical tail tucked between her legs as she is stopping a way. Hahaha, seriously though, how in the multiverse are there truly people like here and why is it that they all seem to gravitate to me or someone "close" to me? What did I do for Karma to treat me this way even when I am now free?' Nix thought to himself, and half said it to Solaris, who could tell it was a rhetorical statement and question and wisely kept quiet.

 Phoenix turned to look at his little brother and said very seriously "be careful that girl is nothing but trouble." Beyol Joon who was staring at the girls' retreating backs with sharp and cold eyes nodded his head in agreement and simply replied "En".

 Beyol Joon was so impressed and grateful by Nix's calm head and quick wit in putting that disgusting Soo Yun in her place that he wrapped Phoenix in a big bear hug, lifting him off his feet. Nix just laughed and caught San Woo-Young in the eyes as he smiled and winked at the younger man, while the youngster shyly blushed and smiled giving a thumbs up.

 In fact, the whole group of teen boys were ecstatic by Phoenix's performance just now! They all have watched Soo Yun chase after Beyol Joon for years despite his constant rejection and coldness towards her. They no longer pitied her but were all equally disgusted with her actions. She has even tried to entrap him several times but thankfully by the time she started playing dirty in order to snag him Beyol Joon had anticipated it and never goes anywhere alone anymore. How pathetic is it that an omega is this desperate for a guy and he is not even an alpha. She cannot even use hormones and nature as an excuse.

 He reached up and ruffled Beyol Joon's hair earning him a playful swat on his hand as he reprimanded Nix for messing up his hair all with affectionate eyes. "You really are a big ole teddy bear, aren't you?" He chuckled as Beyol Joon straightened his hair while trying to look big and mature.

 "Hey now, just because I am younger than you, it does not mean that I am a child. Hyung you should not keep treating me as if I am still 5 years old. I am a grown man now." Beyol Joon chided. He wishes his hyung would see him as a man and not as a 5-year-old. But he would be lying if he said he hated how his hyung tended to spoil him.

 Nix sighed heavily and just shook his head, what was he going to do with this brat? "Yeah, well just because you are 18 and a senior does not mean nor make you a man. You have so much to learn and experience. Come talk to me about being a grown man when you in your 50s and then maybe I will stop treating you as my sweet baby brother who I love oh so very much and must raise and protect from all that is bad in this world."

 Beyol Joon felt complicated hearing that. If it came from his parents, keunhyung or nuna then he would understand, his keunhyung (eldest brother) and he had never been close, as their age gap was enough for Beyol Young-Jae to be his father.

 Oh, and Beyol Young-Jae most definitely, liked to act as if he were Beyol Joon's father with the way he was always staying on him about his schooling and swimming and Nuna was no better. Seriously, was having 2 parents not enough that he had to have 4. Most people do not gain a second set of parents until they marry but not him, he has had 4 parents since the day he was born.

 Only Nix treated him like a normal sibling, more than likely due to them being so close in age. It was one of the reasons their relationship was as tight as it is, though it was easy to like and be around Nix. Beyol Joon loved his family, and he honestly would not trade them for anything. It was both a blessing and a curse to have siblings twice as old as him and he knew he was blessed by the heavens to have a family like his. Thinking of this he hugged Nix.

 "I know hyung worries about me, and I love you too hyung." Beyol Joon said with an arrogant smile on his handsome face. "Brat who said I love you. Uhm? Hmph…" Phoenix hugged his little brother back and again could not help but feel bitter about their difference in height, but he just smiled gently and took a moment to just enjoy and cherish this precious moment with his little brother.

 He quickly let go of Beyol Joon when Solaris reminded him of the time. He was so wrapped up in the first special moment he has had with his new little brother that he lost track of the time. He glazed at his communicator and then looked up at Beyol Joon with clear worry in his eyes.

 In a low voice only Beyol Joon could hear he quickly said, "Crap, I am running late and may miss my air ship into Cheraw. I must go, Joon-ah, good luck on your test, you will do great. I will treat you if you come in first place again. Oh, and do not forget what I said be weary of that girl I can smell her rotten heart from here." He finished that last part of while pinching his little brother's left cheek, leaving it reddened so that he would not forget and heed his words. Though if he was being honest, he did not think that Joon-ah was blind nor stupid and could clearly see Soo Yun for who she really is.

 ***A.N. : Cheraw is pronounced she-raw it is the name of an "extinct" Native American tribe that mt husband and kids have direct linage to/from so this is my way of paying homage to them and their ancestors. When translated to Romanized letters 오빠 can be written as Obba or Oppa, though I am learning Korean as my 2nd language and still have a very long way to go I wanted to point this out since I have seen it both ways and as struggled with which was correct or not and finding conflicting information on the web about it just to find out that it is in fact both.
