2 CHAPTER 2

The sunrise on the horizon marked the beginning of another day for many of the inhabitants of Kuoh town.

On the streets, a boy was already practicing exercises even before the first rays of sunlight touched the houses. Tao Tetsuya was a twelve-year-old boy with short caramel hair and light green eyes wearing a sports suit who was practicing his morning exercises.

(Tetsuya is his first name, Japanese names will all be written as they should, Surname - First name.)

Due to his memories and because he knew what sort of world he lived in, ever since he was a child, he made sure to take care of his health and body to the best of his abilities, his parents couldn't even understand why he was so adamant in having a healthy diet and even training, since they didn't have that custom.

His first years were quite difficult, having a new life, also means a new beginning, it took him quite a few years to adapt himself. He did not wish to have a life similar to that of his previous life.

So from the time he learned to speak and read, he has been studying a lot and not just school subjects, he made sure to learn how to actually socialize, he didn't notice before but the reason people tended to avoid him back then, was just because he was too intense.

His colleagues actually felt pressured around him because of the way he acted, not that this was an excuse for what they did, but at least it explained why he did not have any friends.

And all his work has been paying off, while he doesn't have a best friend or something similar, he managed to make quite a few friends.

But that was just part of his objectives, after all, he wanted and would make sure to eventually involve himself with the supernatural matters. As of now, he did not manage to find any of the original cast, there were many schools in Kuow Town, and Kuoh Academy had yet to change from an all-female school to a mixed one.

So in the meantime, he had been occupying himself with training, he started when he became 6 years old when he asked his father if he could learn martial arts, it took some time but he managed to convince his father.

He enrolled in a dojo called 'Chikara Dojo', where he had been learning Kenjutsu, Karate, Aikido, jiu-Jitsu, taijutsu, etc. The place itself was built many years ago to keep the culture of the shinobi alive, the other less traditional martial arts styles were introduced later.

He had to say though that he was quite talented in this regard, most students weren't able to practice so many things at the same time. He wasn't the best at any of them, but he could still progress fairly fast.

Those martial arts couldn't be compared to what a fight against demons and other beings would be like, but it was still something to prepare himself, after all, he more or less understood that the reason Hyoudou Issei had so many problems early on was due to his lack of training, he could have been much stronger if his body was better prepared before becoming part of Rias Gremory peerage, or so he hoped... it was a fantasy fiction after all, who knows if real training actually has any effect in a person's power when they became part of those peerages.

All he knew was that preparation wouldn't hurt him.

But he wasn't just training his skills, his body was also a fundamental part of the process to become stronger. Two years ago he also started going to the gym in order to work out, his instructor was a friend of his Shishou, and he was helping him build his body more in a strength and conditioning way, instead of simply accumulating mass, he did not want to be a bodybuilder, after all, hypertrophy would affect his agility and his fighting capability.

As Tetsuya wondered about his future he ended up bumping into someone.

"Gh!" A girl with long violet hair groaned as she fell on her butt.

"Eh!? I'm sorry, I didn't see you!" Worried Tetsuya bent down and extended his hand towards the girl.

Hearing his words, the girl turned to look at him, her eyes, just like her hair was also violet, and they were quite charming, once he looked at her eyes he couldn't even stop himself from looking at them.

"Thanks..." The girl muttered and accepted his offer to help her get up.

"Who are you?" Tetsuya couldn't help but ask, for him, such a person definitely isn't normal, the feeling she gave him was... quite difficult to put into words.

"My name is Kamei Masuyo if that's what you're asking." She took her hands off his and turned away.

"Eh... Wait!" Tetsuya shouted when he noticed that she had walked quite a few meters.

"Hm?" She turned to look at him, unsure of what he wanted.

"My name is Tao Tetsuya."

She looked at his eyes for a moment, one that seemed to have taken forever to end, and turned away, she left without even speaking another word, as if she did not wish to speak to him.

Tetsuya could only sigh as he watched her leaving, as much as he wanted to know more about her, the girl apparently did not wish to have anything to do with him.

Still troubled, he could only accept the situation as it was and go back home, he was running for two hours already and he would soon need to leave for school. Besides, it wasn't wise to leave his parents waiting for him.
