Possible Evolutions

As I woke up I saw a pretty familiar sight of a red and golden floating message in front of me "ugh what is it this time" I say as I slowly got off my "bed" before saying "god I need to to finish leveling up here so I can actually go somewhere that has an actual bed

After I fully got up and stretched a bit I looked at the notification and saw that a new feature called evolution was unlocked "there was never a feature like this in the game, guide why do I have this" (think of it as compensation for taking away the stats points section of the system)

Oh ya that, I'm still salty about that I mean how can you get rid of one of the 4 pillars of power (sorry about that, but as I have said before this evolution feature is meant to be composition for it) "I will be the judge to see if it is acceptable or not" I said as I started looking through the new feature

After a couple seconds for looking through the pros and cons I have come to one conclusion "I've seen enough. I'm satisfied" this shit was way better then stats well not stats as in overall stats but the stats that you can use your stat points on

Here's the hierarchy when it comes to the 4 pillars of power number 1: equipment, 2: skills, 3: stats and 4: levels but with the interdiction of evolutions the placements might be changed drastically especially when evolutions can also buff your skills and makes your level a lot more important

Basically when you level up you gain stat points and a tiny boost to your overall stats but instead of stat points even leveling up, I now gain evolution points which are required to evolve

As of right now I have 3 possible evolutions one is to become a greater salamander just a bigger and stronger salamander that's about the size of a German Shepard it's mainly focused on physical power but also gives an ok boost to magic, after that is elemental salamander which has some very useful magic as well as the fact it's super versatile, the last one is a wild card it will make me more draconic but I don't know what species I will turn into

But as of right now there are 3 possibilities a drake, warm or lindwrum looking at all of them they're all super good so it doesn't really matter what I get so the more important thing is actually getting the requirements and let me tell you they're high, I need to be level 40 and have 60 evolution points, considering I get 1 point per level I'm gone need to be 60 levels

(Incorrect you wouldn't need to be 60 levels as evolution points can be acquired by doing pacific quests)

Nice but do I actually have any of these pacific quests (I'm glad you asked as of right now you have two) well damm what are you waiting for tell me what the requirements for the quests are and make sure it isn't a wall of text this time (#1: reach the average level of a adult salamander aka level 20 and #2 get to the first requirements for evolution aka level 40)

"Well time to get work I guess" I say before I get out of my hole, as I got out thouGh I felt the hot desert wind hit my scales, I was still a bit tired from sleeping on goddamn sand but the swift change of temperature from cold to hot fully woke me up

"Well i guess that did fully wake me up so can't complain" I say before I quickly went to the oasis and drank a bit of water, while that I began to think of what I should hunt maybe I should go for other salamanders I mean it would be pretty easy considering I'm way smarter then any salamander as well as the fact I had better skills would definitely close the level difference

But that was out of the question considering it would be hard find another area with even half of the numbers this place had also most of them were pretty close together so if I attacked one the other will definitely try to kill me, hmmm what's something I could actually kill at this awkward level

Instantly I thought of something interesting that I was able to do at the canyon and knew exactly what I would do "I'm gone be eating good tonight hahahahahaha time to turn some birds into kfc" I say before I begin to move to higher ground

As I finally reached high enough ground i was able to spot a couple of those annoying little vultures sitting on a dead tree, wait how the fuck did a tree even get there it's not even close to the oasis, man I need to stop questioning fantasy logic also because the authors doesn't actually care about logic and is basically doing the rule of cool well anyways

"it will be tricky to fight all of them but I don't really want to wast time" I said as I started thinking of ways to kill of of them "oh ya I forgot can still do it even at this low level" I said as I thought of one of my favorite moves from the game not only because it was cool looking but also because it was op as all hell

It probably won't work exactly like in he game but it should still be good and besides might as well do it for the cool factor alone I thought as i slowly began to sneak up on the vultures

As I got behind them I covered my self in fire don't worry magic flames and normal flames work very differently from each other and my magic control skill also helps with this, after that I began to enhance my legs with magic and then I leaped as close to the Vultures which was about in the middle of all of them Before they could react i created a couple of fire spikes and shot them after that I was able to safely landed on one of the tree branches

I quickly looked back at the vultures and saw that two of them were dead and only one was remaining, I made three more spikes and shot it in the head, chest and wings "crap I wasted food" I said as I looked at the vulture with over 80% of its body gone "though it doesn't matter all that much I still have way more food then I could ever eat" I say as I look at the other 2 dead vultures

"I wonder what vultures taste like" I say as I begin to dissent from the tree after that I drag the two not completely destroyed corpses to my hole which required me to make the entrance way bigger, though I did cut them with very precise fire magic so I wouldn't need to make the entrench too big

After all of that work I finally got tot he cooking process too bad I didn't have any seasoning or anything to flavor it with after de feathering them and everything thing else like getting rid of the blood I was finally able to cook them and they tasted well….. let's just say horrible and after a bit of trial and error I was finally able to salvage it by tenderizing the shit out of it, don't get me wrong it still tasted pretty bad but at least now I was able to easily eat it

"I guess even my taste buds changing won't make these annoying corpse eaters taste any better" I say as I get out of my hole once more and get ready for a long day of hunting and tasting everything to see if there's anything good around here
