4th Path - Freedom at last

Mukuro had searched the area and could now safely assume that the whole place was underground. He searched some rooms and came across rather disturbing things.

Among them were a room filled with the rotting corpses of the failed experiments, he himself was so disgusted that he threw up. There were even rats chewing on the decaying flesh of some of the bodies.

Though on the other hand he came across more information about his new world. The experiment he was apart of was called project zero. It was actually two projects, one was the creation of the 'Philosopher's stone' and the other was to create genetically modified humans that would be the beginning of 'humanity's next evolution'.

Another interesting thing he came upon were that there were monsters in this new world of his. Monsters or Youkai as he was currently in Japan roam his current world. Ranging from Vampire to Werewolves to even things like an umbrella youkai.

He now figured out why the man before wanted to inject him with monster blood. His body was altered to adapt and evolve, in theory if his body were to absorb some sample DNA of a monster, his body could potentially take some characteristics of said monster.

As an example if he were to absorb a Werewolf's DNA, he could potentially gain their ability to grow stronger under the moonlight or gain enhanced speed or sense of smell and hearing.

The project was also headed by a band of rogue scientists. The leader he saw from before was one of this world's genius minds but when he proposed the project zero idea he shunned and called crazy. Wanting to prove those that shunned him wrong, he used his savings to hire scientists with similar mindset to him to start the project.

Another thing that was surprising was that the man himself was also a type of youkai. Well half-youkai since he was an alchemist. It was a branch of Wizards or Witches that specialized on using science and magic. It could explain why the man was so talented in his field.

After finding nothing else he left. He also couldn't get the Philosopher's stone since there weren't enough requirements for the stone to form. It needed 10,000 human sacrificed under 18 or of age. The scientists only had gotten about 4,100 sacrificed.

Mukuro sighed as he went back to the room where the bound scientists and one alchemist were held. Entering the room, he gave them back their sense of sight and hearing, though they still couldn't move or talk.

He smiled before be put one hand on his chest before he performed a bow.

"Welcome everyone, you may know me as 'number 203' but I have now named myself Mukuro" He said looking at the horror on the men's faces.

"Kufufufu~ I like the expressions in your faces. Please try not to die to quickly" Mukuro said as he walked to the cabinet and smashed the glass door. Grabbing one shard of glass he walked to the men before he proceeded to stab them all on their arms and feet.

Of course he didn't forget to pick-pocket their belongings that had some value like money, watches, or jewelry.

Making his way to the door he switched paths to the Animal Path canceling his illusions on the men. Once the illusions were cancelled a rain of curses where thrown at him.

"You damn brat!"

"I'll kill you!"

"Fucking little shit!"

"Yada~ Yada~" Mukuro said shrugging them as he dug one of his pinkies in his ear. "Can all of you shut up?" He asked.

Though the men were still yelling, he could only sigh as he hit the metal pipe towards the sliding door causing a loud bang to resound through the room silencing them all.

"Good, I now have all of your attention. Anyhow let's play a game shall we? it's called who gets to die first" Mukuro said with a vicious smile.

"the rules are simple the first one to die wins, as they at least have a break from the torture that will ensue. You see all of you are currently immobile not to mention bleeding. I will direct the rats to come into this room and I might as well tell you that they have mutated due to eating the corpses of the failed experiments" Mukuro said.

"I will also be starting a fire within this facility, considering that it's underground you all might run out of oxygen. So what will it be? Death by blood loss, being eaten alive, burned alive, or death by asphyxiation?" He questioned

"Kufufufu~ Let the games begin shall we" He said turning around and exiting the door. But before he could leave he heard the leader, the alchemist say something.

"M-monster!" He heard behind him.

He only smiled lightly before he chuckled, turning his head giving a polite smile that to the scientists looked like the devil's. He looked at the man in the eye before turning around.

"But weren't you the one who made me this way?" Mukuro said loud enough for them to hear before exiting. With the Animal Path he called upon the mutated rats and ordered them to start eating the men. Of course starting from the limbs and banned them from starting with the heads. it wouldn't be fun if they died before the torture after all.

He smiled as he saw the hordes of giant mutated rats that ran past him. He then began his plan to start a fire he found some generators and gas tanks and through the use of the Ultimate eye he found the best way start a fire. He then made sure that the gas tanks would blow after he escaped.

He could only feel excitement as he left the facility. Walking out of a staircase that led to an abandoned subway he took a deep breath as walked forward.

He was finally free, though he was currently in an abandoned subway he saw a staircase leading which he assumed led to civilization.

"and three, two, one" Mukuro said as he counted while he climbed the staircase.

*BOOM!*

The sound of the explosion sounded off as he heard they underground facility cave in. He smiled before quickening his steps since he knew people would be arriving soon.

"What do to now?" Mukuro asked himself as he sighed. His starting point was really bad, if he had chosen Xanxus's flames of wrath instead of Mukuro's Six Path of Reincarnation, would his starting point be the rebellious adopted son of a Mafia or Yakuza leader?

Questions he may never get answers to floated within his mind as he left the vicinity.

The world he is currently in is Rosario + Vampire. The manga version not the anime one. Also Mc doesn't know about it, he knows some other anime's but he never read or watched R+V. I thought it would be cool if the mc does not know the plot of his starting world.
