CHAPTER FOUR

Mr. Wyatt Griffin Is Here To See You

She need to stop thinking about Wyatt . She told herself as she settled down inside the bus that was taking her home. Her phone started ringing.

Lena, her friend was paging her. So she took the call immediately.

"Lena." she called.

"Hey babe, what's up? Where have you been? I've been looking for you."

"Looking for me? I didn't go anywhere. "

"Dammy said you've been missing for the past two days now."

She perked up her brow. She was confused. "Dammy? Don't mind him. I even went to work today. You know how he jokes around a lot."

"So where are you?"

"I'm going home now. What's wrong?"

"It's just that...I got a blind date for you! Andre agreed to go on a date with you."

"Oh C'mon Lena! I don't think I need that blind date."

"Andre is a sweet guy. You will like him."

Ava growled. "You didn't have to stress yourself so much Lena. I told you that I don't want to go on any date right now." she complained.

"But you need it. You have to stop being miserable. Even Thomas, is having a good life. You have to stop punishing yourself and have fun too!"

"Lena..." Lena interrupted her.

"You don't have to argue with me. You need to have fun. You need to think about something else. Go out with Andre and laugh, smile and even get laid."

"Laid? Lena, look at what you're thinking!"

"Hell yeah! I can't remember the last time you got laid by anyone. And I don't think your vibrators and Dildors are doing a good job."

Ava heaved. She looked out of the bus window. To stop herself from thinking about Wyatt Griffin, Ava need to agree to Lena's invitation for the blind date. "Alright fine, I will go." she said.

"Good! I know you won't turn me down. It's seven O'clock, so you better don't be late."

"I hear you!" she grumbled and then hung up. Lena is right. She need to go on a date. She haven't done that since Thomas left her. And he's living a good life without her. So punishing herself all the time and feeling pitiful because of his condition and waiting for the moment he will remember her is such a long time. Having a date will help her relax. She won't even have to think about Wyatt Griffin.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Ava sat at the dinner table with Andre. She was looking her best in the flayed black sleeveless short gown she wore over her red heels. Her lips was painted the reddest of red and her long dark hair sprawled endlessly on her shoulders. She was looking so beautiful that even Andre could barely look away from her face and her silky skin.

Ava smiled each time he saw the shocked expression on his face because of her marvelling beauty. She didn't know she had that effect on any man. Will Wyatt be drawn to her beauty too?Ouch! This is no time to think about him...she reminded herself as she listened to Andre speak.

He was polite, gentle, and had a decent job. He works as a secretary at MMM broadcasting company. Exactly where Lena works too. She sipped from her glass carefully.

"You know Ava, work today was so hectic but fun."

"Really?" she dropped her wine glass noiselessly on the table.

"Yes, I mean, with Mr. Wyatt Griffin making headlines all over the news. It..."

Ava couldn't help thinking of Wyatt when he called his name. She couldn't help comparing Andre to Wyatt.

Andre is less handsome to where Wyatt was. His gazes can make a mountain or a volcano melt. His long fingers as she remembered them in her dream knew how to do it's job quite well. Or his tall menacing figure which made him look intimidating and yet, stand out so well.

She suddenly felt guilty towards Andre for comparing him with Wyatt.

"Miss Ava Addison??" Andre touched her and she nearly jerked due to her absentmindedness.

"Huh?"

"I was talking to you." Andre said. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just some..erm.." she cursed herself for thinking about Wyatt. She shouldn't do that when she has a date with her. "I'm sorry. I just got carried away."

"It's fine, but are you good?" he asked with a concerned look on his face making her feel more guilty for thinking about Mr. Griffin.

"I'm fine." she feigned a smile while he smiled back.

Soon there was chaos at the entrance of the dinner. Loud noises filled the air as suited men thumped their way into the restaurant. Ava wondered what was happening. "What's going on?" Ava asked Andre who just shrugged without a reply.

The suited men rushed in and stopped by Ava's table. She was confused as the men surrounded her. All eyes came to her table. She looked at Andre who was confused as she was. One of them bowed

to Ava.

"Good day Miss Ava Addison." he greeted. Okay, how did he know her name or is she in another dream? She gulped and warmed her eyes to Andre one more time.

"What's going on?" It was Andre's turn to ask. "Miss Ava, do you know them?"

She shook her head. "I can't even understand. What are you guys doing here?" she asked peering at their faces one after another.

"Mr. Wyatt Griffin wants to see you."

Her mouth fell open. MR. WYATT GRIFFIN echoed in her head.

"Did you just say Mr. Wyatt Griffin?" she asked the speaker who nodded his head. She gasped in surprise as her eyes went to Andre who was as surprised as she was.

"Where is he?" she asked trying to wake up from a deep slumber she must be falling into. But, the speaker pointed towards the window, "He's outside, waiting for you in his car."

To satisfy her curiosity, she rushed to the window, lo and behold Wyatt Griffin standing outside his car and making a phone call.

She wasn't satisfied, so she rushed out and she saw Wyatt Griffin really waiting for her.
