Nephis Origin

It took me less time to take out the information he was carrying with him. Well from him I got information about clans how they bind them with oath of loyalty by placing countless threats to force the person. He was even send here to assassinate Nephis.

And the most important of all this world was controlled by tyrants called Sovereigns. Who control the government which acts as puppet for those Sovereigns. They even regulate the saints (Transcendent rank) and don't let Masters(Ascended rank) to breakthrough to Saint realm.

These sovereign must have already reached

Supreme rank to even force the government. These sovereigns were Anvil, Asterion and Ki Song.

Anvil and Asterion held two many citadels in dream realm. They try to poach talents so that they can bind them together with their clan.

He didn't find any information related to Ki Song who was most the mysterious. But he was able to find out that Nephis was from Immortal Flame clan.

Which was named under Immortal Flame is Nephis's grandfather and the first Awakened to become a Master.

He also led the first cohort that conquered the Second Nightmare, hence becoming the first Awakened to become a Master in human history.

He later died defending the evacuating cities from the onslaught of terrible creatures that entered the real world through a Category Five Gate.

Nephis was the daughter of Broken Sword and Smile of Heaven. Broken Sword was also the leader of the first cohort to conquer the Third Nightmare, hence becoming one of the first Master to become a Saint.

Smile of Heaven famous for being the daughter of Immortal Flame as well as the first among the few who received a True Name from her First Nightmare. She became a Hollow before giving birth to Nephis.

While Broken sword got heartbroken and conquered the third nightmare and perished in dream realm leaving the only heiress of Clan alone who was at very delicate age.

After that Nephis faced many assassination attempts which eyed their clans treasure. She had to sell every piece of treasury to keep her life safe. Without parents supervision and countless death attempts on her life had made her numb, cold and unresponsive.

After finding all this I didn't know what to do, this world seemed messed up. He have to keep these secrets for the right moment as he didn't wanted to apart the destined line connected him to her. But I cleared Caster's recent memory for precaution and cancelled my Genjutsu.

In reality only one second had passed but Caster fall down on his all fours like his legs turn into jelly and he went unconscious. Sleepers went bonkers finding Caster who was invincible with his speed in same realm knocked out, made them muddle headed.

The sleepers watched me extreme fear, some even stopped functioning.(つ .•́ _ʖ •̀.)つ

While there were two people who were boring holes in my back. They were Nephis and a Shadow respectively. Wait...a shadow?

I looked again to check and found it, it was a shadow who sweating heavily.... what ? It was acting like a comical figure trying to escape after it got caught. After a second it disappeared.

"Good job!" Rock nodded trying to butter me up as much possible. While the sleepers were still not responding as if their whole view changed today. Welp, I should have held back right?

Timeskip 4 weeks.

A lot happened in those days, I was able to perfect my combat style. Sleepers were scared of my guts and remained four feet away from me unless there was a fight.

Caster still had polite smile but when we face each other his face would turn into a pig being butchered.

Somehow my charm had attracted the princess of Immortal Flame clan. She would often bore holes in my back at every moment. I think she had found something interesting maybe?

Sunny started acting wierd for a week after the beginning of combat classes but he regained his cool.

Finally Cassie started talking and smiling at certain moments. The four weeks passed with a rush with combat training and sunny introduced me to survival class professor who was a lunatic making me learn numerous dead languages.

But Master Julius classes helped me to get general knowledge of finding directions through stars in dream realm. From making fire to convert bedrock to salt every knowledge he provided was useful for survival.

In my previous world he would have easily rubbed his ass on Bear Grylls face. He was more knowledgeable, nerdy but reliable.

Today was winter solstice our last day on this academy before we get sent to dream realm. He could feel the endless drowsiness but he forces himself to wakeup.

He got out of his bed and completed his morning routine enjoying the hot shower. After dressing himself in academy uniform he walked out of his room walking towards the cafeteria.

It was packed with all Sleepers. They would move away further when I approached them. Everyone was in low spirits. It wasn't a mood for laughter... while the legacies remained calm and collected.

He found Sunny standing infront of coffee machine enjoying the warm beverage. "Sunny, Good morning. Can't believe you're only drinking a coffee without carrying mountains of food today." I teased him who seemed not appetite.

"It's not that..... It's sickening, I think this atmosphere is affecting me." Sunny commented looking at the cafeteria which was awfully silent today.

After few minutes they were sitting near Cassie but there was a new addition too Nephis. She was eating her meal beside Cassie. While Cassie had a delighted expression.

We both got busy on our meals when Cassie looked at Sunny, who felt the gaze and stopped drinking his coffee. "W----what?"

Without hesitation she replied "Happy Birthday."

"What?"

Sunny was confused then he remembered today was his birthday. He had completely forgotten that he was seventeen now.

(Wait... how did she-) His thoughts were interrupted by Hàorán.

"Hmm? Today's your birthday? You didn't told me... perhaps you forgot?" I gave a knowing smile wondering how he could easily forget about his birthday.

"Yah.... that's right." Sunny scratched his head with embarassment completely forgetting about Cassie mystery.

"Well I don't have something to gift you. But I can show you something. So ask..... do you wanna visit any place." My reply perked everyone ears on the table.

"Haha, is that even possible we can't get out of academy because of last day right?" Sunny smiled thinking his friend might be dreaming.

"Well I can show you illusions though. Now tell me do you wanna visit a place. I will design my illusion based on your thoughts." I smiled knowing that the girls infront of me were boring holes in my face with their gaze.

"Oh really.... wait.... yah make it fill with snow. Even though iyt snow out here I haven't played in snow." Sunny complied thinking his friend was pranking them.

"You two wanna join too ? Sorry but I can only support one person to enter my illusion." I replied looking at the girls who had eager expressions turned to pouting. Well I lied, I didn't have any way to take Cassie in my illusions as it requires eye contact.

After that I took of my blind fold, showing my Red jaded eyes to the group. Nephis gasped looking such eyes from close. While Sunny was already sweating remembering why did this felt like 'Deja vu.'

"Now Sunny look at my eyes [Tsukuyomi]." With that Sunny found himself in vast field of snow.
