Theoretically, it was not too late to start learning Pinyin in primary school. According to the requirements of the curriculum, the first grade Pinyin course would take 8 - 10 weeks to complete, and most children could keep up with the pace. However, in reality, there were differences in the progress of Pinyin teaching in primary schools in different regions. In some primary schools, the progress of teaching Pinyin was very fast. For example, some schools learned all the Pinyin in a month, and some private schools even went through the Pinyin content once in two weeks. In this case, if the child did not learn Pinyin at all in the kindergarten class, he might not be able to keep up. From the perspective of children's own development, children will experience different sensitive periods from 0 to 7 years old. If the child's intelligence has not developed to the appropriate stage and he is forced to learn Pinyin, he may be at a loss or even resist. Moreover, early learning may sacrifice the child's all-round development opportunities, such as affecting the development of cooperative communication skills with peers, personal athletic ability, hands-on operation experience, etc. It may also stifle the child's interest in learning, resulting in the "third grade effect", that is, because they learned Pinyin in advance, they despised learning in the first grade. When they learned new knowledge in the third grade, they lacked good learning attitudes and habits, resulting in a decline in their grades. Therefore, whether a kindergarten primary school could keep up with the progress of the primary school's teaching of Pinyin and the child's own development depended on factors such as the progress of the primary school in the area. Read more exciting novels for free
