You know all the stories with the young, forgiving girl who couldn't be more weak? And then a strong warrior shows up and has to save her? This is not one of those stories. ~ Eris is a princess who is almost INCAPABLE of acting like one. She doesn't bow, she doesn't curtsy, and most certainly does NOT wear corsets. She also fails to go one night without using some weapon or other, much to the chagrin of some of the more old-fashioned court members. She is wicked and cunning and has befriended the son of her sworn enemy. Her little 'gang' has members ranging from assassin to demon to healer to shifter. Now, one of her close friends is dealing with issues that need to be solved in another kingdom. As Eris prepares to leave, another problem arises in a different kingdom. Eris splits her forces in half to deal with both. Follow the ragtag crew as they solve problems, fight enemies and reveal hidden plots and secrets in a rather 'unruly' manner. From the remains of the broken governments rose the tech companies that had led the people out of this crisis. One such company is EDGE, which is the leading weapons design company in the global market. Their two most powerful weapons are androids, a male named 4-HN, and a female named 5-AE. Their job? To assassinate high-ranking leaders of EDGE's competition. 5-AE, however, is different. Despite her eyes being designed to change color based off of the emotions she feels (a method of keeping their androids' actions in check), not once have hers deviated from the listless silver that indicated feeling absolutely nothing.

The two followers pursue different strategies to make One Shot fail: Jack wants to make him mess up, but his plan fails when Angel interferes. She has a different motive: to make him choose her out of his own volition and give up his position as a secret agent for love. Jack mistakes her for One Shot's girlfriend and changes his plan. His new idea: kidnapping Angel and threatening One Shot to give up the promotion. Things become even more complicated when friends and family become involved, an ex-best friend's betrayal with the ex-boyfriend, and a wedding. Who of those three will win the promotion? But maybe more importantly, what are their motives behind getting it? A new order comes in and only the one who successfully finishes this will be promoted.
