MY PAINKILLER

MY PAINKILLER

PAINKILLER I just got my release papers after spending seven years in prison. You might all be wondering why I got in prison. It's that simple. I killed a man for raping me. Now, most people and the court didn't see what I did as self defence because that man was my husband. They thought me cruel and heartless to murder a man who I was supposed to love. I don't blame them because they were actually right but they did not know the full story behind my charade of a marriage. I only blame my parents for selling me off and getting me married against my will. I had just turned eighteen and I wanted to enjoy my adulthood but they ruined my plans. They got me married and I spent the other years in prison. I was the only child of my parents and things were not so good for us. I was willing to not go to school in order to help them hustle and provide. But they thought marrying me off would solve our financial needs. I begged and pleaded but they wouldn't listen. And after three months of marriage, I turned a murderer. I was willing to leave all that in the past now and start anew. But I couldn't help but wonder if my past was willing to leave me and let me start anew. One way or the other, I knew, that my past was gonna come haunt me. And I don't know if I was prepared or not yet. "Victoria Williams?" a female police officer asked me when I got to the counter. "Yes ma'am," I replied and nodded. I watched her fill out a book and let me sign. She gave me some new clothes and a wallet. Another police officer unlocked my handcuffs and showed me a room to change in. I changed quickly and observed myself in a mirror. I had changed a whole lot. All my fat was gone and was replaced by thin skin,  jutting bones and sunken eyes. The new clothes made me presentable to the world I was going to meet and that was satisfactory. I walked out the changing room to the waiting room to be greeted by a small girl who ran and hugged me. "Mummy," she said.

His Judas Bride

When not cuddling inn signs in her beloved Scottish mountains alongside Mr Shey, Shehanne Moore writes dark and smexy historical romance, featuring bad boys who need a bad girl to sort them out. From there she progressed to writing plays for her classmates, stories for her classmates, plays for real, comic book libraries for girls, various newspaper articles, ghost writing, nonfiction writing, and magazine editing. Stories for real were what she really wanted to write though and, having met with every rejection going, she sat down one day to write a romance, her way. What hasn’t she worked at while pursuing her dream of becoming a published author? Shehanne still lives in Scotland, with her husband Mr Shey. She has two daughters. When not writing intriguing historical romance, where goals and desires of sassy, unconventional heroines and ruthless men, mean worlds collide, she plays the odd musical instrument and loves what in any other country, would not be defined, as hill-walking HIS JUDAS BRIDE – SHEHANNE MOORE Desiring her could be murder. THE THIRTY SILVER COINS: Book I of The Judas Trilogy

THE THIRTY SILVER COINS: Book I of The Judas Trilogy

## Synopsis **The Thirty Silver Coins** is a dark supernatural thriller that reimagines the fate of the most hated man in history: Judas Iscariot. For nearly two thousand years, Judas has suffered in Hell, carrying the weight of a betrayal that defined him forever. History remembers him only as a traitor, a monster, and the man who sold the Messiah for thirty pieces of silver. But Judas believes there is another truth hidden beneath the legend. When Satan offers him a chance to return to Earth, Judas discovers that the original thirty silver coins still exist, scattered across the modern world. If he gathers them and forges them into a powerful ancient dagger, he will gain the ability to destroy humanity itself. Driven by centuries of rage, betrayal, and a desire for revenge, Judas accepts the Devil's bargain and returns to a world completely transformed from the one he knew. But his mission becomes more complicated when he crosses paths with Dr. Ethan Cross, an archaeologist investigating a mysterious ancient manuscript connected to Judas and the lost silver coins. As Judas hunts the missing relics, Ethan uncovers a terrifying truth: the coins are not merely artifacts of history. They are keys to a war between Heaven, Hell, and humanity. Now Judas must decide whether he is truly the villain history remembers—or whether the fate of mankind depends on the choice of the man who betrayed the Son of God. A dark epic of redemption, revenge, faith, and the battle between light and darkness. **The Thirty Silver Coins is the first book in The Judas Trilogy.**

Who was Judas in the Judas story?
In the Judas story, Judas Iscariot was an apostle of Jesus. He had a special position among the twelve apostles, but his character was flawed. He succumbed to the temptation of money. By handing over Jesus, he set in motion a series of tragic events. His role is complex as it represents the human capacity for both closeness to the divine (as an apostle) and the fallibility that can lead to great harm (through betrayal). His actions are a major part of the narrative that has been studied and interpreted for centuries in religious and ethical contexts.
