suspicion in the council chamber

A renowned history professor makes an impossible discovery: a coded manuscript, hidden for centuries in the shadows of medieval Spain. But, in deciphering its contents, he crosses a line that should never have been touched… and is presumed dead in a macabre ritual conducted by a secret society spanning generations. Before disappearing, he sends the manuscript to two people. One of them is Gregory Evans. Unbeknownst to him, Evans is thrust into the center of an ancient conspiracy—a silent war waged in the shadows of humanity. Now, he is not just a mere investigator… he is one of the chosen. Chosen to protect—or destroy—the greatest secret ever hidden by humanity: The Ark of the Covenant. Pursued by unseen enemies and surrounded by allies who may not be who they claim to be, Gregory Evans embarks on a race against time that will take him through ancient codes, forbidden truths, and revelations capable of shaking the foundations of faith, power, and history itself. But there is something even more disturbing… Nothing is as it seems. And in the end, he will discover that the greatest mystery of all... was always a perfectly constructed lie.

[Dropped ] Haruto Hasegawa is a completely ordinary second-year transfer student at Seimei Academy whose only goal is to fly under the radar and pass algebra. He doesn’t have a magical cheat code, an overpowered fantasy system, or a grand destiny. But his quiet school life shatters into a million pieces on his very first week when he tries to open a jammed door to the student council room. The door gives way, Haruto trips, and he accidentally crashes flat on top of Miyu Shizukuishi—the academy’s notoriously strict, untouchable, and flawlessly perfect Student Council President. Worse yet, his hands land exactly where they shouldn’t, causing a legendary wardrobe malfunction that leaves the icy president completely radioactive with embarrassment. To protect her pristine disciplinary reputation from a campus scandal, Miyu forces Haruto into absolute secrecy and drafts him as her personal, forced student council assistant. Haruto expects a brutal punishment from a tyrant. Instead, he begins to find himself constantly locked in tight spaces with her—from hiding cramped under a desk to tumbling between isolated library bookshelves. With every hilarious, skin-ship accident that occurs, Haruto discovers a shocking truth: beneath her terrifying, icy exterior, the perfect president is actually an incredibly flustered, vulnerable, and deeply caring total softie who cooks him cute lunches and gets clumsy when nervous. Can Haruto’s heart survive the absolute minefield of daily assistant duties? Or will his clumsy hands accidentally trigger a full-blown campus romance before the school festival arrives?

It was a solo wedding, after which she found that her boyfriend, Shen Yusong, was sleeping with her best friend. She gritted her teeth and decided to use her new status as Mrs. Ye to punish those scum! Throwing herself in front of Ye Lingxiao's, she bawled, "Oh, my husband... Don't worry. I will take care of you so that you recover soon! Sob..." The Ye family sighed. "We've picked the right girl. She just might be Lingxiao's lucky star!" "What a fine child! You will have played the most important role if he recovers!" "Yes, this is the right wife for my son. Shame he's so unfortunate in life!" Although Lin Wanmeng lay motionlessly in bed, he thought then that she was quite the actress, so he pinned her underneath himself and went for it. Later, rumors swirled everywhere that the persistently praised daughter-in-law of the Ye Family was pregnant with a bastard soon after her belly started to bulge. When the Ye family came with a bone to pick, Ye Lingxiao descended upon them, tenderly caressing her belly as he spoke words that left everyone shaking in their boots: "Call my son a bastard again, and I will tear your tongue out." As Shen Yusong saw Lin Wanmeng becoming more reliant on Ye Lingxiao by the day, he broke down and slapped himself across the face. "Oh, Wanmeng! I was wrong! The one I love has always been you! Let's elope! "Really? You're getting gutsier by the day, teasing your aunt now too!" Ye Lingxiao strode towards them and kicked Shen Yusong away before grabbing Lin Wanmeng by the chin and kissing her. She was sobbing as she wrapped her hands around his neck, complaining, "Oh, darling... If you were a second later, you would have lost your wife and son..."
