Venom 2 was a sci-fi, horror, and action-themed Marvel film jointly produced by Sony Pictures and Marvel Pictures. It was released in the United States on October 1,2021. The film was directed by Andy Serkins, written by Kelly Marcelle and Tom Hardy, and starred by Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomi Harris, and Reid Scott. It was the second film in the "Poison" series. The movie was adapted from the story of Marvel's comic book characters. It told the story of the alien symbiotic "Venom" and its host, Eddie (Tom Hardy), who met the deadly villain symbiotic "Kanech"(Woody Harrelson). The story of the superhero and the evil villain began a fateful battle. Among them, Clytus, the human form of the villain "Kaneki", met Francis in the juvenile reformatory in 1996. The two of them had a close relationship. Later, Cletus bit Eddie during his contact with him to obtain venom DNA. When he was executed, he mutated into a "massacre." He rescued his girlfriend and planned the wedding. He also captured Eddie's ex-girlfriend, Ann, and a policeman. After that, Eddie and Venom reconciled and fought with Carnage. Carnage was divided due to internal conflicts in the battle and was eventually swallowed by Venom. The film was nominated for six awards, including the 2021 American People's Choice Awards 'Favorite Film. The producer, Vasily Kakarov, won the British Directors Guild's Best Producer Award for the film. Its opening weekend box office in North America was 90.1 million US dollars, breaking the 2021 opening weekend box office record. As of March 2024, the global box office exceeded 500 million US dollars. In addition, the movie was rated PG - 13, and the news of Spider-Man in the end-of-the-movie Eggs also raised the audience's expectations for the subsequent Spider-Man series and the Venom series. Venom 2's story time and background were not closely linked with the previous one, but the plot was closely linked. After combining the alien venom in the previous game, Eddie, played by Teacher Tang, shared the same body and often made a joke when communicating with his consciousness. Cassady (played by Woody Harrelson), a serial killer suspect, was detained pending trial for lack of key evidence. Because Cassady only wanted to see Eddy, the FBI asked Eddy to assist in the case. Casadi's girlfriend, Baris (the scream in the comics that can emit super sonic attacks), shared his hardships with him. When Eddy went to the prison to look for him, he was bitten by Cassady. The Venom Symbiotic entered Cassady's body and caused it to mutate into Carnage. The Venom Symbiotic Mutation mutated according to the host's consciousness. It became vicious when it encountered Casady, and it became a brutal massacre. This made Venom retreat. The main story of the movie revolved around the battle between Venom and Carnage. This movie had a slightly better reputation and rating than the previous one. It was 97 minutes long (about 90 minutes without the subtitles). Compared to the current standard two-hour movie duration, the pace was very fast. Some scenes were cursory, lacking literary foreshadowing, and the conflict settings were rigid. However, the progress was rapid. The structure of the story was similar to the first one. There were two villains. They had no ambition to destroy the world and simply did bad things. The villains, Kasadi and Scream, were like "desperate and murderous mandarin ducks." The film did not think deeply about the villains. Although Carnage was the strongest villain, his image was relatively thin. He could roar, fight, jump, and open his chest, which might be enough for the audience who wanted visual effects. Between Eddie and Venom, as the trailer showed, good brothers would also have conflicts, but they would reconcile in order to save the world. From the simple plot, the character's emotions, and the straightforward nature of the story, the structure of the story was similar to that of a teen cartoon. By expanding the plot content by half an hour, adding cool fighting, powerful post-production special effects, and the participation of famous celebrities, it formed a popular super-British blockbuster. There were also some details in the film, such as Casadi living in the San Estes Orphanage, which had child abuse. In the comic, it was the place where Carnage and Spider-Man first fought. The plot of Ravensk Prison was different in the comic and the movie. Screaming Francis 'left eye was shot and scarred. In the comic, his left eye glowed when he used his superpower. The movie hinted that the mutant race existed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stan Lee appeared in the movie. Casadi killed the spider in the letter to prove that the massacre wanted to kill Spider-Man in the comic book; Venom said that "responsibility is left to the mediocre," which was in contrast to the famous saying in the Spider-Man series; Eddie's costume had a tribute element; At the end of the Easter egg, Venom revealed the secret of his race during his vacation and entered the parallel universe where Spider-Man was. Venom recognized Parker, but he did not appear in the main film of Spider-Man 3. He was then sent back. Watching "Venom: The Last Dance" wasn't enough. Everyone, please click to read the novel!
