College psychological counseling can address several problems. Firstly, it can help students deal with the large psychological gap. For example, the learning environment in college is different from that in high school. Many freshmen may experience a sense of loss and confusion due to the loose college environment compared with the tense high - school environment full of classes and a lot of exercises. Through counseling, students can better understand the new environment and re - define "enrichment" in their study and life. Secondly, it can assist students in handling excessive worry about the future. There are obvious differences among students in college in terms of daily life, communication skills, and attitudes towards people and things. These differences may lead to some students' over - concern. Counseling can help them develop a rational view of life differences and self - analysis ability, so that they will not turn expectations into disappointments. Finally, it can also help students with irritability and depression. Students come from different backgrounds such as different types of schools, with different expectations for college, and different degrees of independence. When they enter college and jump from a familiar comfort zone to an unfamiliar one, they may have stress reactions, showing irritability and depression. Counseling can help them adjust to the new environment and relieve these negative emotions. Read more exciting novels for free
