China hosts international competitions
The international competitions held in China included the China International Singing Competition, which was hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and held once every three years, and the China International piano competition, which was hosted by the Ministry of Culture. However, there was news that there would be no major international events in the country in the next ten years (the major international events here referred to world-scale sports events such as the Olympic Games, Winter Olympics, Asian Games, and the football World Cup), and China had made a decision to suspend its bid for the 2028 Olympic Games, the 2030 Winter Olympics, and the next two World Cups. However, in 2024, there would be events such as the China Tower Rally. At the same time, Chinese films were promoting the introduction of international sports events on the big screen. The reason why the roundhouse ball is banned in international competitions
In the rules of table tennis, the server must throw the ball almost vertically upward with his hands without spinning the ball. This was one of the requirements for a legal serve. The ban on roundhouse shots in international competitions may be to ensure the fairness of the game, the rules, and the enjoyment of the game. The spinning of the roundhouse ball might destroy the balance set by the rules, making the competitive nature of the game develop in a direction that was not conducive to normal development. As someone who loves to read novels, I don't have real-time updates on the competition. However, if you like to write novels, you can participate in some novel writing workshops or communities to exchange experiences and skills with other writers. In addition, many novel publishing houses and literary institutions would also hold writing competitions. You could follow their official websites or social media accounts for the latest competition information and contestant recruitment information.

Nie Hualing's International Writing Project
The International Writing Project was officially launched by Nie Hualing and her husband, Paul Angor, in 1967. The plan was to provide a platform for writers from all over the world to share their stories and culture.
In the early days of its establishment, Nie Hualing invited sixteen writers to participate, and it quickly attracted the attention of many Chinese and international writers. Since 1979, the project has gradually expanded its influence and become an important platform for global literary exchanges. In this project, not only did Chinese writers participate, but they also actively introduced writers from different countries and cultural backgrounds. A large number of famous writers, such as Bai Xianyong, Lin Huaimin, Mo Yan, etc., had participated in the project. The American writers who later won the Nobel Prize in Literature, such as Ceslaw Milosz, Toni Morrison, and the Turkish writer Orhan Pamukh, were also "guests" of the project.
Nie Hualing's International Writing Plan had a profound impact on China writers, which was reflected in the vision, direction, and depth of their creation. It opened up the possibility of being international, allowing contemporary China writers to experience the real charm of foreign cultures through their daily lives, not just on paper. For example, it had a profound impact on the establishment of the writers 'class at the University of Wu Han, and some of the basic ideas of the class were influenced by it.
