By the time his sister was born, they were famous worldwide. So the world held their breath for when Kellen and his sister came of age, waiting to see what kind of power they would awaken. His sister was just like his mom, same power, same class, while Kellen, woke up one day to find out what it meant to be special in a family the world watched. But in the worst way. Awakening weaker then your powerful parents wasn’t unheard of, but when your younger sister awakened at the same class as your parent, anyone would feel inferior. And Kellen, never one to ask for hand outs, left the comfort and safety of his hometown to become better than the weak brat everyone thought he was. Kellen went to the front lines, to where the gates normally broke out. From there, Kellen worked hard, and then worked some more until no one could doubt that he was good at his job. He got so good that even with his lower class, people would still hire him to help. But Kellen never took it to heart. He had learned a valuable lesson on the front lines. Classification only meant shit if you walked back out of the gate. Otherwise, shut your mouth and listen to those with more experience. They determined who made it out alive or not. But Kellen was tired now. He had gotten everything out of his system, and the fast paced life on the front lines didn’t suit him anymore. Now, he wanted to go home, buy a house, maybe find a nice man to settle down with, and live a normal life. All the while, the yellow eyes he’d met on the front lines haunted him, no matter how much he tried to forget about them. Especially since the Esper they were attached to refused to let him go.

He Yuan had accidentally caused his own death. He had no idea he was even dead until he suddenly woke up on the hard floor of an empty room. What had killed him? Well... for future reference, it's a terrible idea to install a chandelier over your bed. As he tried to get his bearings right, a strange guy suddenly popped out of thin air and he was offered a job. The job offer granted him eternal life with the alternative being reincarnation. Most would hastily choose to be reincarnated so they can start a new life but not He Yuan. He was skeptical, why would anyone want reincarnation? Once you reincarnated 'you' cease to exist. He didn't care about what people said about starting afresh, gaining new memories and all that. All he knew was that once a person reincarnated, they get thrown into a different environment, different family, meet new people and in short became a different person entirely. What scared He Yuan the most was losing his own thoughts and hence, awareness of his current self and so, he chose to accept the job. What did the job entail? He carried out tasks given to him by people who were called 'leasers.' They were called this because they leased out their bodies to 'taskers' for a period of time to help set their crooked lives straight. What the leasers didn't know was that the taskers got into realms and helped them so they( taskers) could focus on their own main tasks which was world/realm balance. These realms had 'special ones' who siphoned the luck out of it. Luck was the binding force of these realms so without it, the realms would begin to break apart and deteriorate into unlivable hells. So in essence, leasers gave put their bodies and 'payment' in the form of soul energy, taskers helped out the leasers while balancing the realms and the realms become stable once more. Pretty straightforward right? Yes. But can someone tell He Yuan why these world was so full of hypocrites, Mary sue and Gary stu characters who thought it was excusable to do horrible things just because they were in love? He Yuan grit his teeth. If you want to be in love, then be in love, was there any need to use others as stepping stones?! He rolled up his sleeves and bounced forward. Just you wait as I teach you all a valuable lesson! #Gongmc UPDATES: Twice daily ORIGINAL STORY. (BL) Taming the Field Guide

(BL) Taming the Field Guide

The sequel to Hunting the Field Guide. Kellen thought that his troubles were over. He'd dealt with the issue of the Poison Gate, he'd saved his sister, and he found out the location of where his trusty fellow Field Guide was located. As far as he was concerned, things were finally looking up for him. He could finally, finally live out the peaceful life he'd wished for when he'd first left the Front Lines. But then the E.A.G. reared it's old head. A hydra, a beast that just wouldn't die, Kellen was at his damn wit's end. All he wanted was to live out the life he'd literally carved out for himself. He just wanted to be happy with his Captain. Why was it so damn hard? ~ Meanwhile, Brent Jameson just wanted to be left alone. A man who knew he could have exceptional talent, Brent just wanted to do what he loved. Sleep around, escort people through Gates, and drink his problems away whenever he wanted to. He did not want to be the new Head of a Guild. That sounded like the exact opposite of what a man like him would want to do. He also didn't want to be attached. Maybe Kellen was right and he had a type, and maybe he avoided that kind of person, but hey, he was just a guy. He couldn't be with someone when he was worried at any minute that he could be teleported away from them and dropped into the ocean. Hell, it was dangerous for him to even have friends. Now that he was back 'home' with his lovely, wonderful family, he knew that he had made the right choice. Brent was better off alone.
