NEVER TALK TO A GANGSTER WHERE IT HAUNTS THE MOST
Alessia Moretti never wanted a life full of chaos. At twenty-three, she is a detective who believes in justice, not danger. Bold, stubborn, and unafraid to fight back, she has built her life chasing criminals until one night, she crosses paths with Enrico Rosette, the city’s most feared Mafia leader.
Enrico is cold, ruthless, and untouchable. People speak his name in whispers. When Alessia stands up to him in a crowded club, she doesn’t just challenge him, she fascinates him. Enrico should have silenced her, but instead, he marks her as his.
From that night, Alessia’s world begins to change.
Can she escape the man she’s sworn to bring down or will Enrico’s darkness become the only place she truly belongs?

The bag was yanked off Alessia's head, harsh light stabbing her eyes.
Zeus stood in front of her, smiling like the devil himself. “You should have killed me with them!” he roared, shoving the gun against her forehead.
“Do it,” she hissed, stepping closer until the barrel pressed into her skin. “But if I live, I’m coming for all of you.”
The shot rang out, pain exploding through her knee and dropping her to the ground.
Minutes later, she was dragged into another room and froze.
Enrico Rosette stood there, tattoos peeking from under his black shirt, his gaze sharp as a blade.
“I don’t buy damaged goods,” he said coldly, turning to Zeus. “You broke the deal.”
Desperation made Alessia reach for his leg. “Don’t leave me, Enrico.”
He crouched, brushing her messy hair from her face. “You still have your nice hair, love. Why should I take you?”
Her voice was steady. “Because I’ve changed. If you’re going to be my executioner, I’ll be yours first.”
A slow, dangerous smile tugged at Enrico’s lips. He stood, signed the papers, and in one smooth motion fired a shot into Zeus’s leg.
Zeus screamed, clutching the wound.
“Next time you touch what’s mine,” Enrico said, calm as ever, “you won’t live to regret it.”
Then he bent and took Alessia into his arms as if she weighed nothing.
“Welcome back to my world, love.”
