As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? _______________________________________________________________ This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. (There's a chance I will post 2 chapters a week, but if I don't post on Wednesday, it means ill post on Saturday!) Want to thank you in advance for those who will read! I recommend you guys watch Oshi no ko to understand, but if not, here is a short summary!(but its okay if not since ill add a bit of backstory of each that's connected to the original) Spoiler Alert! Ai Hoshino is an idol who gave birth to twins, Aqua and Ruby, but she needs to keep it a secret so that her fame won't drop and that she can continue being an idol. She loves her children so much but sadly got stabbed in front of her son aqua(Btw the twins were her fans in their past life but when they died, they reincarnated into her babies). So Ai then died, and aqua has a goal to find his father(which is the killer) by joining acting(Aqua is really good at acting), while Ruby is doing idol stuff to become like her mom, Ai. A lot of things happened and I do recommend to watch the anime or read the manga! But I decided to let my story take place during the time when Aqua is making the movie for revenge, but added a little storyline where he is trying to catch his father which I made it up hehe. (I will add that storyline somewhere in the future chapters hehe) Hope you enjoy my story, Peace. Edit: I just realized that I accidentally included this for the spirity awards HAHAHHAHA! The story is about a police detective named Akida Kinai, who loses his job and decides to be a private investigator, his work becomes famous and gains a lot of money. He later meets a widow during a case that involves a prominent serial killer who kills people and makes it look like an accident, who was named Bakari. He falls in love with the widow who lost his husband via suicide. The widow doubts the claim of his husband ending his life and wants to know how he died. Eventually due to meeting with the widow often, Akida starts to develop feelings for the widow even though, it goes against his professional ethics. He then decides to propose and they soon get married only for tragedy to hit when her wife gets into an accident. This leads to a downward spiral and he begins to drink. One day while on his usual sad trips, he stumbles on a box that had his wife’s belongings and sees a pendant with weird inscriptions. He then remembered the pendant was a good luck charm from her. Due to anger in remembering the happy days, he crashes the pendant and cries out until he sleeps in. The next day he wakes up and finds himself in his apartment, six years ago when he was investigating the cases and is about to meet the widow in two days, since the death of her husband who was a prominent figure was a week before. Noticing that it’s his second chance, Akida vows to find Bakari as he later starts to connect the dots that Bakari may have killed the widow and make it look like an accident.
