Shiki ("Corpse Demon" or "Death Spirit") is a Japanese horror novel written by Fuyumi Ono. It was originally published in two parts by Shinchosha in 1998. Gue melihat sekitar gue, tidak ada siapa siapa. Seketika ada tangan yang menyentuh kepala gue dari depan. Lalu ada suara yang membisik ketika tangan itu bersentuhan dengan kepala gue. "Disini letak kesalahanmu". Sesudah itu tangan yang tak dikenal itu seketika hilang dan melebur dengan angin yang berlalu. Gue hanya terdiam. Lalu bertanya, "Ada apa sebenarnya ini?"
