Due to an upgrade in its programming, a humanoid robot receives the intellectual powers of the human brain. He sets out to explore what it means to be human, to be alive, and to die. He soon realized that the universe is under no obligation to make sense to us and that we are too minuscule to understand its profound meaning given our limited biological senses. The novel unfolds in the first-person point of view of the humanoid and his journey through the human world, its complexities, and its paradoxes.
