He lifted a hand and wrapped it around her throat, which he used in briskly tugging her face close to his. “But, for now, you’re gonna have to stay alive. Not because I give a fuck whether you live or not, but because I know that staying alive is a bigger punishment to you than death.”

Causing her to almost leap with joy, she had chosen the right way! Or at least that's what she had thought. As she gets closer she realizes that this is in fact a dead end. The light was coming from a window; taking up the majority of the wall. She turns to go back, but she's met with a familiar pair of vibrant, purple eyes, staring back at her from the end of the hallway. She freezes in fear, as the figure grins, and calmly walks towards her.
