The two fought with wisdom and courage. Sun Wukong gradually lost the upper hand. Taishang Laojun hit his head with the diamond chakram, and Xiao Tianquan bit his leg. Finally, he was captured. After being captured, he was not killed by knives, axes, lightning, and fire. He was locked in the Eight Trigrams Furnace to be refined, but he became a Fiery Eyes. After the furnace was knocked down, he continued to fight. The Jade Emperor had no choice but to ask the Buddha to surrender. In the end, he was suppressed by the Buddha at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain. The immortals and Buddhas held the "Antian Meeting" to celebrate their victory. To some extent, this plot reflected the outbreak of social contradictions and the strong sense of class resistance. In the process of causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace, Sun Wukong did not fight to the Soaring Heaven King Palace to see the Jade Emperor. He only fought to the side hall and was stopped in a stalemate. The Jade Emperor felt that it was too noisy, so he issued an edict to invite Buddha. The 100,000 Heavenly troops were under the command of Li Tianwang, while the rest of the troops had not received any orders or were deliberately avoiding the battle. In addition, after Sun Wukong wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace, Patriarch Bodhi was not harmed. Firstly, it was because Patriarch Bodhi's dojo was under the eyes of the West Ox Hezhou Buddha.
