However, it is not used for people with excessive dampness, fullness in the middle, or stopping drinking, phlegm, and fire.
- In terms of growth characteristics, different varieties grew fast and had strong adaptability. Some varieties, such as the Four Seasons Honey Longan, could bear fruit all year round under natural growth conditions, and it was easy to obtain high yield, but its management cost was relatively high. Ordinary longans could only bear fruit once a year, and the fruit maturity period was generally from July to September.

A single fruit weighs 13 - 14 grams, the fruit stalk is soft and tough, the ear weighs 240 - 270 grams, the fruit top is round, the fruit shoulder is slightly protruding. The surface of the flesh is slightly juicy, easy to leave the core, the meat is slightly crispy, the dregs are melted, the juice is medium, the taste is light and sweet, the fragrance is average, the quality is medium, the edible rate is 64.1 - 73.4%, the dissolved solid content is 13.5 - 16%, 100 grams of flesh contains 65.1 milligrams of vitamins C, the seeds are purple-black, oblate, the hilum is medium, oval.
- Growth characteristics:
- The crown of the Fuyan tree was round or semi-circular in shape. The tree posture was open, the trunk was grayish brown, and the bark had cloud-shaped lobes, which were peeling off more obviously. The leaves are green, long oval, with medium density of small leaves, blunt tip, and no wavy leaf margin.
- In terms of breed value:
- It was the most important variety in Jinjiang, Nan 'an, Quanzhou and other main production areas in Fujian Province. It was cultivated in Guangxi, Guangdong and Taiwan. It has a high yield, large fruit (12.3 - 15.0 grams), thick flesh, thin skin, and is most suitable for canning. It can also be dried. It is more resistant to ghost broom disease and has a strong drought resistance. However, it has a low sugar content (15% - 16%) and a light fresh taste. When it is dried, the drying rate is relatively low. Moreover, the shell is easy to dent and crack, and the phenomenon of bearing fruit in the next year is more obvious.
