"Was he a man dreaming he was a butterfly? Or a butterfly dreaming he was a man?" For a century, the continent of Laurasia has been a sepulchre of ash. What was once a tranquil expanse of kingdoms and emerald forests is now a Demonic Hell, usurped by the Demon Legion. Skeletons and carcasses are the only harvest in lands where humanity once thrived. Now, the few remaining bastions of mankind flicker like dying embers against an encroaching, eldritch night. In the heart of this chaos, within the high walls of the Capital, lies the Sanctus Sanctum—the supreme echelon of Mageia and the iron fist of the Magis' Guild. Seraph was the Sanctum’s ghost. A lowly orphan whose family was slaughtered by the swarm, he lived as a frail Acomage, bullied to the brink of death by noble-born magis who used "Mageia duels" as a veil for cruelty. After a ruthless assault left him broken and coughing up poisoned blood in a desolate infirmary, the boundaries of the multiverse fractured. A mysterious soul from a dark dimension—ancient, cunning, and lethal—has merged with the dying youth. Two fates, forged into a single, unstoppable entity. Now, the boy who once fled in terror has awakened with eyes that see the hidden truths of the world—one Gold, one Azure. He possesses a knowledge of the Macrocosmic that defies the ancient laws of the Magis' Guild. Seraph is no longer the victim cowering in the shadows. He is the master of a power that even the Demon Legion will come to fear. From the blood-stained halls of the Sanctum to the frontlines of the Great War, he will not just survive. He will become the cataclysm that ends it. The butterfly has awakened from its dream. And it has brought the Storm. (⌐■_■)

Upon the ancient planet of Chejeveck, colonized and Terra-Formed millennia ago by the bygone humans of the Era Of Starlight, is a culture decimated by war, famine and stagnation. After the collapse of the Era of Starlight, the planet has been rendered near uninhabitable through liberal use of nuclear warheads, space-vessel bombardments and orbital weapons platforms. What was left were the ruins of cities, factory-complexes and machine-yards. Vast planes of scrap metal and junk cover a major portion of the planet’s surface. Through untold centuries, the surviving humans here have strangled out an existence of misery and bloodshed as the ways of the past were forgotten and replaced with the ever-looming threat of destruction and the constant fight for survival. The ancestors once relied on the machines known as “ENHANCED LABOR UNITS”, or ELUs for short, to work the massive power plants, weapons factories, missile silos and everything else on the planet. Now, the people rely on these once magnificent machines to do war. Cannibalized, rebuilt, retro-fitted and upgraded; these once fusion-powered mech-suits rely on gasoline, coal, or electricity as they march across the wastes. The Scrap-Dunes, as they are called by some tribes, cannot be traversed by any wheeled vehicle, and thus the often two-legged, all-terrain, up to fifteen foot tall ELUs proved invaluable in the aftermath of the many wars fought on this planet’s soil. For the humans of Chejeveck, survival is won by the boot and metal of the ELUs and their pilots. As time claws onward, more history and more knowledge is lost; The Dust Takes All. The Rust Eats All. Follow the journey of a young man, Jakabi of the Eondai Settlement as he grows in maturity, skill and strength.

Lu Feng grits his teeth at Fu Xiaoxiao, who remains completely unmoved by his countless attempts to seduce her, and traps her in his arms. "Boss, let's talk this through. I know forty a month is a bit much — how about... five less?" Trapped in his embrace, Fu Xiaoxiao thinks he's unhappy with her high salary and starts bargaining. "I'm giving myself to you for free." Lu Feng grinds out through clenched teeth. This woman has no heart. "...Can I say no?" Fu Xiaoxiao swallows, staring at the washboard abs so close. "Such a good deal — are you sure you don't want it?" Lu Feng squints, tempting her. "Fine." A fool turns down a bargain.
