A Mara must marry a Rivers and give birth to the child of the promise. This was a covenant between two best friends over fifty years ago. But both ended up with only sons. Now the Mara family has two young men, David and Gabriel, while the Rivers family has two daughters, Asia and Violet. Violet, being the older one, is betrothed to David, who manages his family's vast business empire. Asia, working in the Mara Business empire, is David's best friend, causing friction between the sisters. Asia soon finds out that David is in fact gay and will not marry her sister. Now Gabriel is forced to marry Asia, causing Violet to be her number one enemy as she is left out in the cold. In her bid to marry a Mara, Violet pleads with Asia to let her marry Gabriel as Violet is the older one like Gabriel. When Asia refuses, Violet plans to sabotage her. Violet works with Allan to kidnap Asia. The plan works. Asia is drugged and ends up in bed with Allan while Violet presents herself to Gabriel as the innocent sister. What Violet and Allan do not know is that Asia had anticipated sabotage and had already married Gabriel in secret and she was expectant. David shifts his loyalty from his own family to the Asia. He is ready to fight Gabriel for breaking Asia's heart. He loves Asia and will fight the world to see her happy. When the Mara family decides to kill Asia for becoming majority shareholder of the Mara empire, only her best friend can keep her safe. Asia and David must subdue their enemies, work on their friendship and build the Mara empire to greater heights.
