ECLIPSE OF THE SEAM
In 1903 London, people are vanishing—first one, then ten, then hundreds daily. They're being taken by Hollows: predatory entities from the Between, the space between dimensional frequencies where reality fractures.
Thomas Webb, a sixteen-year-old dock worker, is swallowed by a Hollow but survives—a rare feat marking him as "compatible" with dimensional manipulation. Rescued by Vera Blackwood, a veteran Cutter, Thomas enters the College of Necessary Arts, a secret underground organization that's existed since 1666 to fight threats from the spaces between reality.
The College trains individuals to "cut" reality itself—severing space to kill entities and manipulate dimensions. But survival comes at a cost: 90% of apprentices die, and those who survive lose their humanity piece by piece.
Thomas is a natural prodigy, progressing at terrifying speed. But his talent is also his curse. To survive, he must become empty, emotionless, mechanical—a perfect weapon. As he rapidly ascends through brutal training, he's haunted by visions of his hollow future and marked by Kal'Theron, an ancient entity who names him "Voidborn."
Now void-touched and broken, Thomas faces an impossible choice: become the weapon humanity needs, or succumb to the darkness claiming him from within.
This is not a story about getting stronger. This is a story about what you lose to survive.
