Pokémon: I Became a Ghost-Type Trainer on Mt. Pyre
Elio never wanted to become a Champion.
He only wanted people to stop treating Ghost-type Pokémon like creepy outcasts.
After transmigrating into the Pokémon world, Elio awakens on Mt. Pyre in the Hoenn region with a mysterious Popularity System. Its purpose is simple: increase the popularity of Ghost-type Pokémon, earn Popularity Points, and exchange them for rare items and rewards.
There is just one problem.
Ghost types are feared, misunderstood, and rarely given the respect they deserve.
Armed with an oversized Misdreavus, a strange system, and far more determination than common sense, Elio begins his slow journey to change the world’s opinion of Ghost Pokémon, one battle, performance, and terrifying misunderstanding at a time.
He never expected that journey to carry him through regional Leagues, put him against the strongest Trainers alive, or lead him all the way to the Masters Eight.
Yet years later, the world watches as the announcer declares:
“Please welcome the number-one-ranked Trainer in the Masters Eight—and the newly crowned Champion of the Unova League...
Elio!”
So how did a Trainer chasing popularity become one of the most feared competitors in the world?
Let’s ask the people who know him best.
Phoebe: “Elio, why is your Misdreavus so huge, and why is she so strong?!”
Elio: “How rude. Show some respect and call her Flutter.”
Steven: “Elio is the most ruthle—most tactical Trainer I’ve ever faced.”
Wallace: “You monster! You’re an absolute monster!”
Cynthia: remains silent, her cheeks slowly turning red.
This is a slow-burn Pokémon journey about growth, strategy, fame, and giving Ghost-type Pokémon the spotlight they deserve, not a power fantasy where the protagonist becomes invincible overnight.
