Google Earth
Google Earth was a virtual globe software developed by Google. It was officially launched worldwide in 2005, and the statement that it was released on August 27, 2013 was wrong. The software integrated satellite images, geographical information system (GPS), and aerial photos into a three-dimensional model of the Earth. The user could explore the Earth by controlling the globe with the keyboard or mouse.
There were three main versions of Google Earth: Google Earth (web version), Google Earth (mobile version), and Google Earth Professional (desktop version). The personal version included the free version (Google Earth) and the professional version (Google Earth Pro). Before 2015, the annual usage fee for the professional version was $400. Now, it was free for the public to use. The professional version had more measurement tools, higher print resolution support, more layers, and more powerful import functions.
It had a variety of functions:
1. ** Images and views **: It provides high-resolution satellite images and aerial photos. The user can view the Earth's surface in a three-dimensional model, including buildings, landmarks, and topographic features. It can also navigate horizontally along the streets through the Street View function to explore the city streets and locations from a realistic perspective.
2. ** Search and Location **: You can find specific locations, addresses, enterprises, and so on and quickly locate them.
3. ** Measuring Function **: It provides a tool to measure distance and area. It is used to measure geographical features, routes, and the size of an area.
4. Layers and Information: Allows users to show and hide different layers, such as place names, traffic, terrain, etc., and also to obtain detailed information of specific locations, such as photos, articles, history, and geographical data.
5. ** User interaction **: Users can add and share their own geographical tags, photos, and comments.
The desktop version of Google Earth supported adding custom data to the map using the KQL language. Before 2016, there was only a desktop version. In 2012, support for mobile platforms such as Android and iPhone was added. In 2017, a web version was launched. As of December 2019, more than 16 million kilometers of Street View images had been taken, and 98% of the world's human settlements had been drawn. The aerial map service had a total of 93.24 million square kilometers of satellite images for viewing.

Google Star
Google Starry Sky was a star-related app. It came in many forms, such as Google Sky Map, which was a lifestyle service for the android platform.
Its functions included viewing various celestial bodies, such as stars, constellations, galaxies, planets, and the moon. It also allowed the user to freely set which celestial bodies to display. It completely relied on the built-in global satellite system GPS and accelerator of the android phone, using the user's location (including the direction of the face, the direction of the phone, etc.) to accurately display the current position of the star map, and the star map could move with the user's movement.
In operation, after turning on the mobile phone network or GPS, the application could be opened to see the starry sky in the direction of the mobile phone. When the phone was in different positions (such as horizontally down, up, and vertically pointing in a certain direction), the corresponding sky, sky, and stars in a specific direction could be seen. There were also many operations that could be done by clicking on the screen, such as selecting the "Manual Mode" in the lower right corner to directly touch and observe; clicking the menu button to search for stars and constellations; setting the display/shielding of different celestial bodies or elements in the display items that popped up on the left side of the screen; switching to night mode; and zooming the star map by clicking the zoom button at the bottom of the screen or multi-touch with two fingers.
In addition, the Google Camera 9.5 update introduced a manual control function for the astronomical photography mode of the Pixel-based smartphone, which played a role in shooting the starry sky. This was also related to the photography exploration related to the Google starry sky.
