The Qianlong Tripitaka was an official Chinese Tripitaka of the Qing Dynasty, also known as the Qing Imperial Tripitaka or the Dragon Tripitaka. It was first carved in the 13th year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1735) and completed in the 3rd year of Qianlong (1738). After the initial engraving was completed, it was stored in the Hall of Martial Heroes of the Forbidden City. In 2022, its engraving began to be collected in the National Version Museum of China. There were a total of 1670 volumes and 7240 volumes in the collection, which were carved into 79036 scriptures, including scriptures, temperament, theory, miscellaneous works, etc. Each engraving was 75 cm wide, 29 cm high and 4 cm thick.

In 2009, with the approval of the relevant departments, the cultural relic protection project of the Qianlong Tripitaka was officially launched. Zhongzhou Ancient Books Press of Zhongyuan Media Group launched the full version of Qianlong Tripitaka on Xuan paper thread-bound edition and hardcover edition. The launch ceremony was held in Beijing in March 2023. The publication and circulation of this ancient book demonstrated the outstanding achievements of China engraving printing, inheriting and promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture. Its inheritance and protection achievements were a major achievement in the China of Buddhism and a great contribution of Chinese civilization to world culture.

The Qianlong edition of the Tripitaka was the last official edition of the Chinese Tripitaka published in ancient China. There were a total of 1669 volumes in the collection, from the Tianzi letter to the machine letter, totaling 724 letters. From the Great Prajna Sutra to the collection of sages in the West, all of them were compiled according to the Ming Dynasty's Northern Zang. The local writings were increased or decreased. Each half page had five lines and each line had seventeen words. The Qianlong Tripitaka was the stage result of the New Chinese Tripitaka. With the Qianlong Tripitaka as the base, it was collated with many Tripitaka of the past dynasties. The collated notes were attached to each volume of the Buddhist scriptures. The text of the Buddhist scriptures was marked with modern annotations, divided into sections according to the meaning of the text, and printed horizontally in simplified Chinese characters.
