Huang Shengyi Kung Fu Mute Girl
In the movie Kung Fu, Huang Shengyi played Fang Er, a mute girl who sold ice cream on the street. Although her scenes in this movie were few and she had no lines, she left a deep impression on the audience. The scene of her tears and a glimpse of her became the " white moonlight " in many people's hearts. Huang Shengyi was born in an intellectual family and had been trained in dance since she was two years old. Stephen Chou chose her to participate in Kung Fu because of her dance skills. However, due to her poor acting skills, Stephen had no choice but to delete the lines and fighting scenes of the character in the script and changed the role to a mute girl. In the end, Huang Shengyi stunned the audience with the image of a mute girl. The whole appearance of her face was also very stunning.
Kung Fu Mute Girl Huang Shengyi
In the movie Kung Fu, Huang Shengyi played the role of a mute girl. The character was not initially set to be a mute girl. Stephen wanted an actress who knew martial arts and had the image of a pure jade girl to play Xing's first love. Huang Shengyi came to the interview with Red Apple Paradise. In the final selection, although Tian Qiwen did not think highly of her (because she did not meet the setting of kung fu except for her appearance), Stephen insisted on choosing her. After shooting, it was discovered that Huang Shengyi had some problems in her acting. For example, she did not know how to act. When Yuan Heping directed the shooting of martial arts scenes, her movements were either too soft or her face was stiff. When she was free to play in scenes where she was beaten, she acted like a dead fish without acting skills. In order to catch up with the filming progress, Stephen Chou temporarily changed the female lead's setting to a mute girl who did not know kung fu. In some scenes, such as the mute girl recognizing A Xing as a childhood playmate and taking out a lollipop to be robbed, or the mute girl crying, Stephen Zhou personally demonstrated and guided Huang Shengyi. Although Huang Shengyi's acting performance was average overall, the mute girl she played relied on her pure image, especially the affectionate tears when facing the broken lollipop, the affectionate gaze when facing the gangster A Xing, and the endless "purity" in her eyes. She became famous overnight with this role and was nominated for the Golden Statue Award and the "Best Newcomer Award" at the Hundred Flowers Awards.
