The Awkwardness of the Cannes Film Festival
There were many things that could be considered awkward at the Cannes Film Festival. For China celebrities, the red carpet might be awkward. For example, Zhu Yilong was on the red carpet. Because he was not well-known abroad, when he and the director walked to the middle of the red carpet, most of the photographers had already turned to take photos of other celebrities. When they walked to the stairs, there were even fewer photographers taking photos of him. Zhang Yuqi was urged by the red carpet guide to move forward, but she still interacted with the photographer, but the photographer's reaction was cold. When Jing Tian walked on the red carpet, the staff stopped her from continuing to take photos. Wang Likun walked very slowly on the red carpet. In the end, most of the photographers had already put down their cameras. In terms of awards, the 77th Cannes International Film Festival's Best Actress Award for " Four Yellow Eggs," where multiple actresses from the same film won the award at the same time, this situation might be considered to have greatly reduced the value of the award and could also be seen as an embarrassing situation. Read more exciting novels for free

It was one of the three major film festivals in the world certified by the International Film Producer's Association (FIAPF)(the other two were the Berlin International Film Festival and the Venice International Film Festival). The film festival was originally proposed by the Secretary General of the French Art Action Association, Philip Eranger, to the French Minister of Education, Jean Zahi, and the Minister of the Internal Affairs, Albert Zaro, to compete with the Venice International Film Festival controlled by the Italian fascist regime. The first film festival was originally scheduled to be held on September 1, 1939. However, due to France's declaration of war on the same year on September 3, it could not be held as scheduled. Finally, it was officially held in Cannes on September 20, 1946. The film festival had a number of different sections. In addition to the main competition section (competing for the Palme d'Or, etc.), there were also sections such as the Director's Fortnight, the Film Foundation, the Film Critic's Week, and a Kind of Attention. Each section had its own awards. In addition to the Palme d'Or, there were also Jury Awards, Jury Awards, Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Scriptwriter, and other awards. The 77th Cannes Film Festival was held from May 14th to May 25th, 2024. A total of 22 films were shortlisted for the main competition unit. Greta Gerwig was the chairman of the jury, and Xavier Dolan was the chairman of the "One Kind of Attention" panel.
