One of my favorite days in 7th grade was the day we had a special guest speaker in our class. It was an author who wrote adventure books that I loved. Once upon a Thanksgiving in a 2nd grade classroom. The kids were excited to celebrate. They made hand - drawn turkeys. Each one told what they were thankful for. One kid said 'I'm thankful for my dog that plays with me.' It was a simple but heartwarming story of Thanksgiving at that young age.

There was a 2nd grade boy who wanted to be a superhero for Halloween. He made his own costume. While out trick - or - treating, he saw a cat stuck in a tree. Just like his superhero would do, he climbed the tree and rescued the cat. His friends were all amazed, and he got extra candies from the neighbors for being so brave.

One 2nd grade holiday story could be about a Christmas. A little girl in 2nd grade was so excited for Santa to come. She left out cookies and milk, and in the morning, she found that Santa had eaten them and left her a beautiful doll. It was the best Christmas present ever for her.
