Prayer is the first step. Through sincere prayer, we can communicate our willingness to let God take the reins. It's like having a conversation with God, saying 'I'm ready for you to guide my story.'
First, we need to pray. Through prayer, we communicate with God and open our hearts to His will. For example, in Philippians 4:6 - 7, it says 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' Prayer is a way to submit our desires and let God start writing our story.
Well, we could start with a strong statement or a question. Like 'There was a secret that changed everything.' or 'What if you woke up in a completely different world?'. This grabs the reader's attention right away.
It means surrendering our control. We stop trying to plan every little detail of our lives. Instead, we trust that God has a greater plan. It's like a journey where we don't know all the stops, but we believe God is guiding us to the right destinations.
Letting God write our story could result in experiences that seem beyond our comprehension at first but eventually reveal a meaningful and purposeful path. It might mean going through difficult times with the faith that there's a divine reason behind it all.
One way is to gather in a religious community. There, we can listen to the elders or the clergy who are well - versed in religious knowledge. They can guide us on how to begin, perhaps by sharing their own experiences of how they first started telling God's story. We can also start from our own personal experiences of faith, like how we felt God's presence in a difficult time, and build the story from there.
Romans 8:28 also comes to mind. 'And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.' This means that even the difficult parts of our story, which God is writing, will ultimately work for our good as long as we are in His will. It encourages us to trust that God is in control of the narrative of our lives.
To let the author of life write your story, simply trust the process. Let go of excessive control. For example, when making career choices, instead of forcing a particular path because it seems logical, wait for signs and opportunities that seem to be nudging you in a certain direction. It's about surrendering to the bigger plan that the 'author' has in store for you.
Just start with a problem or a question. Say, 'What if a normal person woke up one day and found they could read people's minds?' This creates mystery and makes the reader want to know more.
To start, think about an interesting event or situation that you want to be at the heart of the story. For example, if it's an adventure story, you could tell me about a mysterious place you've always imagined the character exploring. Then I can build on that.
One way to start a love story is with a dialogue. For instance, we can begin with a phone call. 'Hello? Is this the right number?' 'I think you have the wrong number.' But there's something in the voices of the two speakers that catches their attention. This kind of unexpected start can draw the readers in and make them wonder what will happen next.
