"Shangshi" was an inspirational China food drama. It was broadcast on Mango TV on February 22, 2022. It told the inspirational emotional story of Yao Zijin, a young girl who was selected as a maid of the Shangshi Bureau during the Yongle years of the Ming Dynasty. She pursued Chinese culinary skills, gained friendship and love, and finally got to know the emperor's grandson, Zhu Zhanji. After the series was broadcast, there was a certain market response. As of March 28,2022, the market share of the most effective broadcast in a single day reached 6.68%, and it won some awards, such as the 32nd Zhejiang TV "Peony Award" for outstanding TV series on September 9,2022. In May 2023, it was selected for the 2022 "China TV innovative influential series (web drama unit)". However, there were also some problems with this drama. Its popularity plummeted like a roller coaster ride. After 12 days, the popularity of the drama became smaller and smaller. The reasons for the unexpected include the popularity of the platform and the timing of the release. The work itself was flashy. The content of the first few episodes was especially cliché and simple, and the audience was easily bored when watching them. In addition, the style of the actresses in the play was also criticized. For example, the female lead Wu Jinyan's style in the play was exaggerated, and the character played by He Ruixian was bloated. In terms of the plot, there were many plot clues. For example, there was a poisoning case in the movie. Zhu Zhanji and Yao Zijin were poisoned at the same time. Empress Hu was suspected to be the culprit, but there might be a complicated palace conspiracy behind this incident. Perhaps Zhu Zhanji, Hu Shanxiang, and Yao Zijin were acting to lure out the mastermind behind the scenes. In addition, there were some plots such as Zhu Zhanji pretending to be asleep and holding Yao Zijin's hand to show the emotional interaction between the characters. In addition,"Shangshi" was a song sung by Lu Hu.

Shangshi Plot Introduction
The plot of Shangshi took place during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The young girl, Yao Zijin, was selected as a palace maid of the Shangshi Bureau and began her journey of growth in the palace. In terms of the pursuit of culinary skills, there were various competitions and assessments in the Shangshi Bureau. For example, in the 20th year of Yongle, the Shang Food Bureau's selection of the head of the kitchen went through many rounds of selection, and finally, Su Yuehua, Yin Ziping, and Yao Zijin were chosen. After the Emperor returned to the palace, he was not in the mood to eat. Yao Zijin noticed the reason why the Emperor was not in the mood to eat and offered advice to Hu Sishan, so that the Food Bureau provided food that satisfied the Emperor. However, she was also reprimanded by Wang Sishan. In terms of character relationships and emotions, there was a complicated emotional entanglement between Yao Zijin and Zhu Zhanji. They first became pen pals through the interaction of oil stains on Zhu Zhanji's poetry paper. After Zhu Zhanji found out that his pen pal was Yao Zijin, he wanted to take her as his concubine but was rejected. Zhu Zhanji later became the Crown Prince and ascended the throne to become the Emperor of Xuande. During this period, even though Zhu Zhanji had feelings for Yao Zijin, Yao Zijin only wanted to be a female official. She was once the main consort that the former Emperor Zhu Di had set for Zhu Zhanji, but was stopped by the Crown Princess Hu family's auspicious words. However, under the Empress's decree and the Emperor's personal decree, Yao Zijin was forced to become the Crown Prince's concubine. In addition, there were other clues about the relationship between the characters in the movie. For example, the Crown Princess Hu Shanxiang also played a role in this. You Yifan had a special identity. He was the son of the King of Han, Zhu Zhanli. He faked his death and left the King of Han to be adopted by the King of Zhao. He also had some interaction with Yao Zijin. Zhu Gaochi ascended the throne and died. After Zhu Zhanji ascended the throne, there were incidents such as Yuan Qi being bribed and poisoned by the King of Han. Yao Zijin and Empress Hu were placed under house arrest. At the same time, there were also plots such as Wu Cairen wanting to circle around Zhu Zhanji all day, but Zhu Zhanji found excuses to avoid it. In short, this drama was a combination of food, ancient costumes, and emotions. It showed the life of the people in the palace, emotional entanglements, and culinary skills.
