There was a good saying,"People are moved because they live in love." Love was everywhere in life, and so was being touched. There was a story that touched me--
There was a boy whose parents died young, and he had to rely on his only relative, his sister. However, disaster once again befell these two unfortunate children. His sister was seriously ill and needed a blood transfusion. However, the blood in the hospital was too expensive, and the boy did not have the money to pay any fees. Although the hospital had waived the surgery fee, his sister would still die without a blood transfusion.
As his sister's only relative, the boy's blood type matched his sister's. He asked the boy if he was brave and if he had the courage to endure the pain of drawing blood. The boy began to hesitate. After thinking for a while, his ten-year-old brain finally nodded.
When the blood was drawn, the boy was quiet and did not make a sound. He only smiled at his sister on the next bed. "Doctor, how long do I have left to live?" the boy asked in a trembling voice. The doctor was about to laugh at the boy's ignorance, but he was shocked again. In the boy's 10-year-old brain, he thought that blood transfusion would kill him, but he was still willing to donate blood to his sister. At that moment, the boy made the decision to sacrifice his life's worth of courage and made up his mind to die. The doctor's palms were sweating. He held the boy's hand tightly and said,"Don't worry, you won't die." Blood transfusions won't kill you." The boy's eyes lit up. Then how many more years can I live?" The doctor smiled and said with love,"You can live to be 100 years old, young man. You are very healthy!" The boy jumped up and down happily. When he was sure that he was really fine, he held his arm again-the arm that had just been drawn blood. He raised his head and solemnly said to the doctor,"Then draw half of my blood and give it to my sister. Both of us will live for 50 years!"
It was precisely because of the boy's courage and his kind and pure quality that moved me. This was not a child's unintentional promise, but the most precious love in the world.
