I'm looking for a movie about the American Civil War

At the beginning of the movie, the male lead returned to his hometown, and his brother and sister-in-law warmly welcomed him. Not long after, it was said that there were Native Americans (I don't remember which tribe it was, but they looked like Native Americans) attacking. The priest (who was also the captain of some team, probably a security team or something) brought a small team of men, including the male lead, out to investigate. However, when he returned, he found that it was a distraction. The male lead's brother and sister-in-law were all dead, and his two nieces were taken away. From then on, the male lead began his long journey of seeking revenge.
