The most important ideologist and the most outstanding scholar in the early Han Dynasty was Liu Bang and his work, The Spring and Autumn Annals of the Lü Family. The Spring and Autumn Annals of the Lü Family was a classic work of ancient China and one of the important representative works of Confucianism in the Han Dynasty. It recorded the integration and development of Taoism, Mohism, Confucianism and other thoughts by Liu Bang and his brother Liu Heng in the early Han Dynasty, which laid the foundation for the formation of Confucianism later on.
