Hetu and Luoshu were important concepts in ancient Chinese culture and were regarded as one of the important achievements in ancient mathematics, astronomy, geography, philosophy and other fields. According to legend, the Hetu and Luoshu were drawn by two ancient astrologers, Bai Lixi of the Shang Dynasty and Confucius of the Spring and Autumn Period, around 1046 B.C. and 551 B.C. respectively. However, there was no reliable historical record or archaeological evidence regarding the specific content and drawing process of the River Map and Luo Book. Therefore, the authenticity and author of He Tu and Luo Shu are still controversial.
