However, on their way back to the Tang of the East, they encountered various challenges and difficulties, including Flaming Mountain, Water Curtain Cave, Wuzhuang Taoist Temple and so on. In the end, Sun Wukong and the others successfully returned to the Tang Empire of the East and received the emperor's commendation. Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing also received their due punishment. They also became legendary figures in Chinese history.
