Storytelling was a traditional Chinese art form. Usually, one or more hosts would tell the story with music, intonation, props, and other elements to attract the audience's attention. The history of storytelling can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. After the development of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms and the Song Dynasty, it formed the storytelling schools that we are now familiar with, such as Henan storytelling, Shandong storytelling, Sichuan storytelling, etc. The storytelling of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties referred to the storytelling works of the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. These storytelling works often described historical events and characters more vividly, the plot was more complicated, the language was beautiful, and it had a certain literary value. At present, the storytelling of the Five Dynasties of the Remnant Tang Dynasty had been excavated and sorted out. Some of them had been adapted into television dramas, movies, and other art forms that were deeply loved by the audience.
