Design of Three-piece Photographic Lenses
The design of a three-piece photographic objective lens mainly involved the following aspects: ** 1. Initial structure confirmed ** 1. ** Method Selection ** - Either the PVP method or the experiential method can be used. The calculation of the PVP method was complicated, while the experience method was relatively convenient. The experiential method was to compare the optical characteristic parameters obtained from the analysis with the initial structure in the ZEBOSS database, select the similar structure as the initial structure of the design, and then modify and optimized the parameters. 2. ** Considering the optical properties ** - The requirements for optical properties, such as focal length, relative aperture, field of view, spectral range, etc., should be specified. For example, in a certain design, the optical characteristics are required to be set at specific frequencies (such as 486mn, 587mn, 656mn, with 587mn as the main frequency), and according to these characteristics, a suitable three-piece photographic objective lens patent structure is selected from the patent data as a reference. ** 2. Aberration correction ** 1. ** Adjusting parameters ** - By changing the surface parameters of the lens (such as the curvature radius of the spherical lens, the aspheric coefficient of the aspheric lens), changing the thickness of the lens and the spacing between the lenses, and changing the lens material, the aberrations could be reduced. 2. ** Opticize the number of operations settings ** - During the optimization process, the number of operations should be set reasonably. For example, in Zemax, you can insert the effective focal length (EFFL) to set the target value and set the weight. At the same time, you can insert the aberrations, such as spherical aberrations (SPHA), coma (COMAA), asphemy (STAR), distortion (SIN), vertical axis color difference (LACL), and axis color difference (axL). Set the target value to "0" and give the corresponding weight. The weights are adjusted according to the size of the aberrations, with priority given to correcting large aberrations (for example, greater weights can be given when the aberrations are large). 3. ** Glass Edge Thick Setting ** - If the shape of the glass was deformed, the edges needed to be set. For example, right-click on the thickness column of a specific surface in the Lens Date Editor, select Edge Thick in the Solve Type, and enter the appropriate value. ** 3. Image Quality Evaluation ** 1. ** Evaluation criteria ** - According to the imaging quality required by the overall performance index of the instrument, the aberrations of the lens were evaluated. If the requirements were not met after evaluation, the aberrations would need to be corrected again, and the cause would be analyzed and corresponding measures would be taken until the image quality met the requirements. ** 4. Calculation of tolerance and drawing of drawings (subsequent steps)** 1. ** Calculation of tolerance ** - Calculating, assigning, and establishing the processing and assembly tolerance of lens components and components. 2. ** Blueprint Creation ** - Draw the optical system diagram, optical components and parts diagram and make the specifications.
