1500-word social practice report, college student volunteers
#Title: College Student's Social Practice Report ##I. Introduction College was an important stage for personal growth and social integration. Participating in volunteer activities was an effective way for college students to integrate into society and enhance their self-worth. Through volunteer activities, college students could walk out of the ivory tower of the campus, experience the diverse nature of society, and enhance their sense of social responsibility and mission. ##II. Practice Activity 1. * * Event Selection and Purpose ** - Among the many volunteer activities, I chose to work as a flight attendant during the Spring Festival. The goal was to experience social life and feel the desire of people to go home during the special period of the Spring Festival. At the same time, they would train their interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with unexpected situations. 2. * * Time and place of practice ** - The practice time was from February 2, 20xx to February 22, 20xx. The location was on two trains from Guangzhou to Shaoyang and Guangzhou to Yichang. ##III. Experiences and challenges in practice 1. * * Interactions and conflicts with passengers ** - In the work of train attendants, they encountered some contradictions about the allocation of seats. For example, there was once a passenger who left his seat and climbed to the second floor of the hard berth to sleep, while there were standing passengers in the aisle. I tried to discuss with him whether I could give up my seat to the aisle passengers. Because standing tickets and seat tickets are the same price, I think we should use resources reasonably to avoid waste. However, the passenger felt that I had violated his rights and refused to give up his seat and began to curse. I couldn't control my emotions well at that time and forced him to choose one with a stronger attitude. In the end, he compromised, but no one spoke up for me during the process. This made me reflect on my own way of doing things. Although I didn't think I was wrong in principle, I might not have handled it appropriately. - Another time, I insisted that passengers not board the train according to the carriage number on the ticket. This was another conflict between principle and flexibility. I thought that I should follow the rules, but I was thought to be inflexible. This incident made me feel frustrated in the subsequent journey. 2. * * Observation and Reflection on Various Forms of Society ** - The carriage was like a small society. Although the situations I encountered might not be common, they also reflected the values and behaviors of different people. Here, I saw all kinds of different attitudes, including compliance with the rules, respect for the rights of others, and reactions in the face of interests. This made me realize that in society, dealing with people is a complicated subject that requires constant learning and adjustment of one's mentality. ##4. Experience 1. * * The improvement of interpersonal skills ** - In my interactions with the passengers, I learned how to remain calm and communicate better when there are different opinions. Although I encountered conflicts, these experiences allowed me to understand the thoughts of others better. While sticking to my principles, I also had to consider the feelings of others and improve my communication skills and adaptability. 2. * * A deep understanding of social reality ** - Through this practice, I saw the variety and complexity of society. Different passengers had different backgrounds and needs, so many factors needed to be considered when dealing with problems. At the same time, I also realized some problems in society, such as some people's disregard for rules and contradictions in the distribution of public resources. This prompted me to think about how to advocate better values and norms in society. 3. * * Deepen my self-awareness ** - I had a clearer understanding of my own personality and the way I handled things. In the face of conflict, I realized my shortcomings, such as not being mature enough in emotional management and not being flexible enough to deal with problems. This will help me improve myself and improve my overall quality in my future study and life. ##5. Summing Up College student volunteer activities were a precious opportunity for growth. Through this volunteer flight attendant practice, I've gained a lot in interpersonal communication, social cognition, and self-growth. In the future, I will continue to actively participate in volunteer activities and constantly improve my sense of social responsibility and comprehensive ability to better adapt to the development needs of society and contribute to building a harmonious society.
