How can I be promoted to general?
The promotion to general was a strict process. One had to perform well in many aspects: 1. ** Basic experience accumulation ** - In times of peace, it would take two years for a college graduate to be promoted from second lieutenant to first lieutenant, three years for a college graduate to be promoted from second lieutenant to first lieutenant, and four years for a first lieutenant to be promoted from captain, captain to major, major to lieutenant colonel, lieutenant colonel to colonel, and colonel to colonel. The promotion of middle and lower ranking officers was basically based on the number of years. When a soldier was transferred to the ranks of officers, he would have to serve for 22 years before he could be promoted from a second lieutenant to a senior colonel. There was no fixed time limit for a colonel to become a general. 2. ** General promotion considerations ** - ** Promotion to Major General **: A Division-level officer must meet one of the following three conditions to be promoted to Major General. One was those who had joined the army during the Second Revolutionary Civil War and were currently holding a position above the division level, and had served in regimental and division positions for a long time; the second was those who had joined the army during the Second Revolutionary Civil War and were currently holding a position above the division level, and were virtuous and experienced; the third was those who had joined the army at the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War and were currently holding military positions, with outstanding moral integrity and had served in regimental and division positions for a long time. Moreover, among the ranks of generals, the rank of major general did not have 20 to 30 years of service, and it was basically impossible to reach the promotion period. - ** Lieutenant General, General Promotion **: The promotion of a general's rank is an election promotion. It is based on the rank of the officer, his usual performance, and his contribution to national defense. For example, General Li Zuocheng had been promoted from major general to lieutenant general for 12 years, and from lieutenant general to general for another 6 years, while Major General Ju Qiansheng had only been promoted to general for 6 years. 3. ** In terms of comprehensive abilities and qualities ** - [Excellent leadership skills: Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, be able to strategize on the battlefield and effectively command troops to carry out missions.] - [Outstanding War Experience: Usually, candidates who are promoted to general need to have outstanding performance in multiple wars, showing tactical and strategic insight in different battlefields and conditions.] - [High sense of responsibility: The rank of general is a highly responsible position. It requires one to show a sense of responsibility for the army and the country.] - ** Excellent educational background **: Candidates who are promoted to general usually need to receive higher education and receive military and strategic training. - [Professional Knowledge: Requires a deep understanding of military strategy, politics, diplomacy, and other fields in order to make wise decisions.] The novel " The General's Promotion " is equally exciting.
